Is there any way to avoid the "New Seller" verification questions?

After my first 3 listings got cancelled and my account put on temporary hold until I called in, the Ebay rep told me that EVERY new seller has to do these verification questions now...

Is there any way to avoid them? Starting out super slow, or starting out as a buyer first, or something else?

I remember this used to be an issue if I used a Google Voice number or another less-than-perfect detail during setup. Is this something that is now a hard and fast rule and happens to everyone across the board?

Depends how you create the account and what you do after.

But it is not true that every new seller faces this.

Also following this thread... I use ATT for my proper post paid cell # on my iPhone and a big 3 bank, is there anything else I can do to avoid this limitation?

My IP is from that same iPhone data plan. The IP changes each time I log on (once a day) but it's always from that phone, and the only thing I use it for.

Is that a good source, or is there something better?

If you’re using a physical sim number also and not voip… and fresh personal details that’s never been suspended then there must be something bad in your creation method to trigger reactivate

It doesn't happen to everyone, I'd like to believe it's random.

But do share how you made the account to see if something triggers a flag.

Nothing is Random when you are talking about bot algorithms :)

Good point.. there’s no real people reviewing these accounts and placing reactivates on them. It’s all a robot, it’s something the OP is doing that’s raising red flags
