New eBay account after being banned 8 years ago
 

I was banned 8 years ago from eBay and Paypal. I have a stealth seller account which I'll need to abandon now due to MP, and another personal account I only used to purchase items at an old address (I just moved last month). No selling ever on the personal account, only purchases.

Is it true that if I open a new account now, I won't get insta-banned? I read on here that MP wiped the slate kind of clean and I should be able to.

I would be using a new bank account, address, IP address, and phone number. Same name and DOB as my original banned, obviously, but I'd need to for MP. I don't think eBay had my social sec back in the day but PP did. I would be using my real SS#.

From what I can tell, I can just go online and create a new account and be on my merry way to selling again. True?

Thanks! Last question - can I reuse my phone # from the active buyer account I have (but plan on abandoning) or do I need to use a new one? Probably best to use a new #, I assume? Or is it kosher on eBay to have the same phone # on both accounts (which was also on the banned one)? Is Google Voice OK if not?

Best to use different phone number to avoid links - google voice is not really ok...

You've been here for a few years now, you do know that you can't reuse info right?

Of course! But since everyone is saying that MP is a clean slate for new accounts, that's why I was asking. The no re-use is contradictory to that concept.
