Hi,

Does anyone get error when adding bank accounts to eBay ?

I can't add like 5 banks to eBay since 5 September, before 5 September everything was ok


Yes, you can add the real bank like TD, Wells, but it doesn't allow me to add mobile banks like Albert, Found, Chime and others
Before 5 Sep no problems
After 5 Sep... Can't add banks "We couldn't verify this bank account. please select a different payment method" or "Something isn't right. Please double-check the info on this page."

It is not a bank,it is a finance company which bank with Bankcorp Bank and another bank,just curious what routing number did you use?

you can go to Ebay seller forum and ask,Ebay rep sometimes join the forum.
My guess is AYden wants to deal with banks which are members of Fed Reserve

First Internet Bank of Indiana is an online only bank,does MP accept online only bank?

Chase and US bank should work,are they in your name?
Have you used these bank accounts with other Ebay ID?

It does not look like it,it said online only.
Does Paypal accept online only bank?
It seems there could be fraud as it is easy to open an online bank account if you know someone's SSN?

Doesn't matter, I have lots of other bank accs like chime, albert, found, serve, movo which worked, but stopped worked right after 5 September 2022, I had that issue in last year and it last for 1 month, ebay I guess making some updates to their system? Any other have the same issue ?

Look like ebay has blocked all online banking, even some I created with my own LLC

Chime, Current, Varo and other wells known virtual banks worked until July 2022 for me, after that I can only add mainstream banks like Wells Fargo, BoA, Chase and Citi. Even some of my local credit unions are blocked.

yes, almost all vcc bank like "Albert" , "Found" etc are now banned by email. only real bank works now.

You sure your eBay account isn’t suspended?? Have you used these banks on other eBay accounts? And if the bank is recently opened it’s harder to link

I wouldn't even attempt to add anything other than a brick and mortar bank, not worth it

I have always got the same errors over the last few months saying something like "Ebay doesn't support this bank" when I tried to add an online bank. But, last week I successfully added a Green Dot(with matching name) account to a 2-week old seller account. Routing number 124303120.

I still can't figure out how or why they let me do it, though I won't find out for another couple months whether withdrawals actually work.

Many companies such as Ebay PayPal, etc. can block prepaid banks, cards, SIM cards - this is not news. I have been studying this issue for years with PayPal ect. Ebay change the rules every quarter, they only strengthen the security policy to prevent fraud, but no one will tell you what they just changed
Prepaid routing numbers won't work on Ebay anymore, about big banks like Chase, Wells, they should work with different names, Ebay doesn't have a database of bank owners, it's a privacy policy, any way is worth guessing the have another methods of checking bank owners. Maybe your need should wait 1-7 days, and then try again

Are you telling me that ebay cant see the bank account owners name ...but if so will the bank allow a deposit even if the name doesnt match. I remember last year i added my online login to my brothers account and recieved his funds and saw my name on the bank account name on ebay depsoit to location...but never used my id when verifications happened in large sale? Any feed back or experience with this?

greendot works for me as well. even with mismatch names I've been getting payments since June of 2020 with greendot on managed payments.

creating accounts are easy for me and I get limits like 200 items a month or $2,000 (whichever comes first)

another new stealth I created I have 200 item limit or $7,000 (whichever comes first)

I haven't got asked for id yet. my only problem is finding the right items to sell or supplier info.

I've had people on the forum say they'd help me out but not respond to PM's (empty promises) (liars etc)

anyway long story short is it's hard for some people to get accounts going but for me it's been easy.

I can't wait to finish school so I won't have to worry about ebay selling anymore.

so far I've sold on my new stealth

beats by dre, computer monitor, hp laptop i5 core processor, and xbox controller and still no ask for id or where items come from. we shall see if ebay chooses to annoy me again

I didn't say that ebay checks the name when adding a bank account, others say that.Ebay make protection like paypal, and before adding a bank, confirm your phone number when u login in account (must be a real number and not voip or google voice) and wait 48-72 hours, try to add the bank again

So what happens when eb sends payment to bank in different name? Does the bank still process the payment? Usbank? Or anybank?
