INR case time limits
 

I sold an item to someone overseas a few months ago, now all of a sudden get an INR case opened, saying it was not received. I thought the buyer only had 30 days from the estimated delivery date to open these, sounds like a scammer?

Also, I updated tracking which shows it was delivered but have no option to close the case. Perhaps another instance not the sellers getting screwed on egay. What's to stop a buyer from opening an INR case 5 years later?

You can get Ebay involved since you have tracking,Ebay Money back guarantee for domestic buyer is 30 days,not sure if it applies to overseas buyers?
seller cannot close the case,escalate t o get Ebay involved,ONLY ebAY OR BUYER CAN CLOSE THE CASE.
Domestic chargeback if buyer uses a credit card is 180 days,overseas could be longer,what country is he in?

disputes on older dates are allowed by ebay , at least 6 months back , I suspect that such cases can not be filed through online form but are done through chat/call

if you have tracking showing delivery you need to provide it and escalate to ebay

Agreed, just great to know that egay allows years to go by and buyers can still open cases. As always, sellers get screwed and take all the risk...

there are no six year old cases 6-12 months is maximum

Would like to see this in egay's documents, not some nefarious number they always seem to pull out of their a$$. Egay is all about screwing sellers these days, then again they always have been. Imagine skimming money off the top of products which you have no part in creating and selling. Sounds like the IRS! I'm testing to see if this scam buyer can actually escalate it to egay or not - I have already provided tracking so we shall see...

yes they can escalate , the time is limited by ability to file chargeback

You can escalate the case for eBay to decide the outcome a few days after it has been opened

If tracking says delivered
You will win the case & negative feedback from buyer will be removed
I have won many of these item not received cases on eBay.

I had a customer on Amazon email me 1.5 years after the order saying they can’t remember ever getting the item. It was so long the tracking wasn’t even showing info
I can’t remember what I had for dinner last night
How can you remember what you received or didn’t 1.5 years ago especially if it wasn’t big ticket item
