1099-K and private sales
 

Hello to all, I have personal eBay account that is active from 2014, previously using with PayPal but now is with managed payments and Payoneer. I have never received 1099-K because never hit the limits, on average I have 2K$ per year on sales. I am non-US citizen, and non-EU, what will be when I reach this minimum limit of 600$, and get 1099-K, I will need to file income tax to IRS?

For more information, eBay is collecting tax already on most of the sales even for US customers, also I think this for my account is handled by eBay branch located in Switzerland , but not sure 100%.

where is account registered? in what country

Account is registered on ebay.com, for personal data I have mine, country Macedonia and also verified with government issued ID.

you should speak to a financial professional in your country - since you are based in Macedonia, i don't think you need to pay US taxes

Ebay would not send 1099 to foreign sellers if you said you are based in Macedonia.

EBay will only issue 1099 to accounts with a SSN registered on it.

Then you should be ok and not get the 1099 from ebay.
