Uding EIN for MP as opposed to SSN
 

Hey all, got a new phone, bank account, IP, the works, wondering if using an EIN instead of SSN will help prevent linking to old SSN toasted egay account. If so, how does one claim income for this, using personal SSN or the EIN? Cheers

Claiming income for taxes involves saving at least 25% of your income, and getting that 1099-K. You should be good since taxes are paid at POS.

As for a workaround the EIN>SSN issue, incorporate another LLC, and name your wife, or brother, or someone, the Owner/Founder, and you can also use the multi-headed LLC approach, and claim beneficial owners..

OP hows it going so far? I just made a new Etsy account and I am going to use your approach, gonna warm the account up a bit and let him sit for a while.

Yeah just flash banned 2 accounts, basically messing around. Etsy does NOT like any declined transactions, especially after a password reset...I would recommend not doing anything but browse for 24 hours after changing any info on the account, or switching to a new IP from a mobile, etc...

Just wasted email addresses, NBD but yes I see what you mean about letting it sit, just seems like when I am that active I get suspended, I was being careless.

Time to make new user accounts lol..

You are not linked by your SSN. Since 2020 I have reused my SSN on five different accounts. Now, each account is still using basic stealth like change of number, business name, business type, address, ip, etc etc.

The actual SSN I personally can confirm causes no linkage. It is using the same Etsy model.

Or perhaps the linkage via SSN does exist but it's not strong enough to bring your accounts down - yet

How could a SSN not be strong enough when it is a direct link towards the individual? If I use the same phone number twice that is a direct link, automatic ban. There is nothing more personal than SSN, cannot go get another one.

Ebay may not have your SSN,as Paypal takes care of it

Ayden gets the SSN so it may not share with eBay under privacy laws as they are separate companies. As Ayden does not know if you have been suspended they will still keep taking the info on new accounts and not report it to eBay.

Do you put in multi-member llc or single-member EIN to ebay ? because as soon as you put the owner name ebay takes that and converts the entire account to your real name. so you will get linked by name? correct me please

I know this is old, but you shouldnt get linked solely by name...if everything else is different, you should be good to go on eBay.

A name alone, is nothing. I have three eBay accounts using my real name and all is well.
