| | | Elliot | 02-03-2024 01:08 PM | EIN solution still requires my SSN, right? (USA) I've watched things over the years here as they changed, I see it asked and people answer this specific question, but usually they are from CA or outside the US.... but just to confirm;
A US seller CAN make a new, unlinked account with an EIN. It's just that a SSN is also required along the way in the process, but using my SSN like I did on my old problem account isn't enough to link me to my old account if everything else is different, right?
I'm needing to start over, my SSN is on my old account, I can come up with all new ph#, computer, bank account and shipping info.... but starting over is still possible, right? |

Personally I have tried to change the address each time I do this because I'm paranoid. Meaning my personal address as the beneficiary.
Things that must be changed to ensure no linkage
1) EIN
2) Bank account
3) Phone number
4) IP address
5) Business address
Maybe I'm missing something but those are most important. |

Back then you dont need a picture, just describe the color, some selling gemstones will refer you to a book on gemstores to look up the color.
Buyer sent cash, check, money order, postal order and wiretransfer,we pay Ebay by sending it a check !
There is no BIN,all auctions, you can bid on your own auctions .
There is no buyer or seller protection,
No Billpoint,no Paypal,no IRS 1099.
Pierre was using his PC in his bedroom to launch Ebay.
Sellers used scanner to take pictures, place the item on the glass panel and covered it with a piece of cloth.
Sellers were writing books on how to sell on Ebay, some even quitted their day job to do Ebay full time.
Buyers will set their alarm clock to get out of bed to bid on items!!

f you're selling as a Registered Business (Sole proprietor/Single member LLC, Corporation/Multi member LLC, Partnership, publicly traded company, or charity/nonprofit), you'll need to provide:
Legal business name (as it appears on your business registration documents)
Doing Business As (DBA) name (if you have one)
Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Business address, including country of registration/residence (physical place of business, PO Boxes aren't accepted)
Individual identification information for any stakeholders (e.g. Primary Contact, Beneficial Owners, Directors, Partners, Principal Officers, Trustees, and anyone else with control of the business etc.)
Stock Exchange and Stock Symbol (for Publicly Traded Companies On
-----
Note-Individual identification information for any stakeholders
Now I recall Ebay has asked SSN for the stakeholder, whether it will do it for eevery EIN,?? |

I plan to set up a single member LLC with EIN for an eBay business account. Does eBay eventually ask for the SSN of the stakeholder(s) of the LLC? |
