MP & SS# on US Stealth Account 12/2024

I'm seeing a lot of people asking but no real clear answers about Managed Pay and Social Security #'s on US Ebay accounts.

I had a Stealth Account for the past 9 years without serious issue, but it just got restricted. I had changed the Stealth account info years ago to my own name, address, bank info and SS# as I wanted to make sure to pay taxes. So now that everything is way more complicated and strict I'm nervous about buying a US Stealth account as they are expensive and I'm seeing everyone saying that after selling $600 of items ebay is requesting a SS#. I do actually want to provide my real SS# or an EIN that is mine so I don't have tax issues...but I have some questions about it (below). Additionally ebay had messed up my account years ago when I got a minor 6 day suspension, when reinstating my account after the restriction they made it that whenever I get a temporary restriction in the future, I could still edit my listings, create new listings, sell items, see them in the searches etc. The only thing that actually paused is the payouts. So this restriction is happening in the same way. Ebay says my listings can't be searched, sold edited, deleted and I can't list new items, but I can...the only thing is everything being sold, payments are on hold. So it's pointless to sell anything since I have no idea if I'll ever get the $ from those sales. But I have some qustions about this...

PLEASE ONLY ANSWER if you are familiar with US Stealth Accounts.
1) Can I put in a new bank account in my name without it connecting to my restricted account?
2) Can I edit the SS# that the Stealth Creator entered?
2a) If so - How?
2b) If so - Can I enter my personal SS# (that was connected to a restricted account) or should it be an EIN#?
3) If I enter an EIN # is it true that ebay is sending the 1099 to the SS# on the account vs the EIN?
4) If I am able to change my account info on my restricted account, how long is my information stored in ebay before I can safely use it again? (I'm reading some folks have used their personal info again after a ban after a few years. I have done this successfully after 1 year suspension...is this something anyone knows definitively?
5) How long before I receive my payments from the restricted account?
6) If I delete a listing, how long does ebay keep the record of the deleted listing?

Sorry for all the questions, feel free to just answer 1 if you are in the know.

You missed the critical step of making a new user account on your computer. Amazon, and eBay, typically use flash cookies that aren't cleared when you remove the browser history.

Bit of an old thread from Nov 2024 to unearth as you intro yourself here...try to avoid moving forward
