| Hercules | 03-30-2009 06:45 PM | I want to sell high priced items soon... I sell vero items that go for 50 to 100 bucks on ebay and other sales venues. I have a large collection of designer goods that are priced from 500 to 3500 on average but I'm reluctant to start throwing in these items on fear of limits and suspensions. The Stealth book says to slowly list up to these price ranges. Is that really possible in this day and age of ebay? Is there any hints from you seasoned players or maybe a " yes it is possible with the right..." just to know there is hope for me would be great! |
| Here We Go Again | 03-30-2009 07:06 PM | As you have read....
If you start out listing HIGH PRICED VERO ITEMS right off the bat then.....
Your account will probably NARU a few days after listing these....
When the advise given by MANY people here and in the Stealth Book says "to go slow" it is up to you to either take the advise or not. |
| ebaykilla | 03-31-2009 05:11 PM | go slow...or die...some money is better than no money. |
| azlanxp | 04-01-2009 06:18 AM | the sale price depends on paypal at each country or same for worldwide?
will still limited even we already verified for item sold for 100 - 200 bucks? |
| importracer150 | 04-01-2009 09:42 AM | Hercules u must have your paypal account fully vertified before leaping into big sales and wait atleast one month on a new account. Have proper documents in case they limit u. Make sure u keep all tracking info for each item u send in case they put a hold on payments. U can sell big money items, just make sure u have everything in place first. |
| azlanxp | 04-01-2009 09:52 AM | the thing i hate when paypal ask about photo id or licence driver |
| Hercules | 04-01-2009 07:16 PM | Thanks Importracer150 that's what I wanted to know! I do have everything in place, but from what I read here or maybe the way I precieve it is that big jumps in dollar volume per piece is what flags an account. I'm not sure, I guess I have to dive right in and experiment come what may. |
| GreenBean | 04-01-2009 11:44 PM | Don't count on a limitation being a big amount of money. paypal has put holds on amounts as low as $40.00 :faint:<---> B4 that happens, make the choice about what YOU want to achieve. Since I am fairly sure it will be selling, selling selling, think about HOW. So instead of listing say 10 high priced items, list 1 or 2 along with other items. Let the account mature, get FB so wonderful you think you wrote it yourself. You are not in a race.:peace: |
| azlanxp | 04-02-2009 03:06 AM | for all folks here.
can i know how long your paypal will stand with new paypal before 1st limitation?
after how much of selling price |
| GreenBean | 04-02-2009 03:13 AM | azlanxp,
I notice you are asking this in nearly every post. There is no real way to say when/if paypal will limit any account. Personally, I have heard of accounts being limited with 3 hours and others within 4 weeks. Each limitation differs so that is my best answer.:peace: |
| azlanxp | 04-02-2009 03:36 AM | thanks a lot greenbean |
| Hercules | 04-02-2009 01:19 PM | Hi GreenBean, I just read what you said just a few posts above this one about listing a biggy ( price amount ) in with my 50 to 100 $ items. Atleast I believe that's what your saying, but what if it's a 1000$ item, won't paypal limit me just cause the size differential that stands out? And let's say the Stealth methods lift a limit, won't paypal just do it again and again. I believe it's competitors complaining as customers that get you flaged. That's why I see factory pictures on allmost every add that I see of successful sellers. ( so there can't be any details to complain about). Anyway, thanks for your response. |
| Hercules | 04-02-2009 01:37 PM | GreenBean, maybe your saying with a decent amount of feedback (from 100 to 300) is what's more important or just as important combined? The reason why I ask these questions cause I hate the idea of working an account up over a long time and then have it blow up cause of a silly preventable mistake. Thanks for your help. |

Hello All,
I bought the ebook to support this forum. However, as of april 1st, some merchant companies will not integrate with ebay. So is the information provided on ebay stealth ebook up to date ?
I may format my laptop and install xp on it. I also am pllaning to buy a dial up connection so that I can use 2-3 accounts from the same laptop. it seems like the best alternate to paypal is ccnow but I am not sure if it will work or if it'll integrate with shipping (just like paypal)
Maybe I should try paypal... But I'm scared to reveal myself if I decide to go with paypal...
any comments ? | Ebayplaya, you just opened the new thread with the same question. |
| EBAYPLAYA | 04-02-2009 04:03 PM | I know. Thanks for the message.
This thread shouldn't be under "I want to sell high priced items soon..." I wanted to delete it but I couldn't find the delete option for it.
when were you suspended and how long have you been back in business Lyda ? |
Oh, Ebay suspended me more than 2 and half years ago..so I stayed away for 6 month and thought it would be "peace of cake" to open new account an get back on Ebay. Not so, been linked every time I tried and had about 4 more accounts suspended because of it. I almost gave up until I ran into this Forum and Ebay Stealth. Now I have 4 accounts, all good...I wish I found this forum earlier, I might have done something about that first suspension and still have that account. |
| TMiles | 04-04-2009 05:52 PM | All of you really need to pay attention to what Green Bean is explaining. First, the question about how long before PayPal limits your account can be answered Never. Seriously, to keep getting limited on PayPal means your are doing something wrong. It is way better to sale $2,000 per month on 5 accounts, than $10,000 in one account when starting out.
If you are getting immediately limited, it is generally due to the product you are selling. So, quit selling that item. It reminds me of the man who goes to the doctor and says - "Doctor it hurts to move my hand like this." The doctor replies, "Well quit moving your hand like that."
Start slow and steady. Do not list import DVDs, NFL gear, high dollar purses, etc. Before you even think about listing that, have at least 30 positive feedback ratings and an account a couple of month old. Try this, and go to town on your high price items.
Good luck! |
| Hercules | 04-05-2009 12:29 PM | Thanks Tmiles2564. I have a couple of accounts that are 2.5 months old with 40+ 100% feedbacks with safe stuff sold and bought on them. Now by what I hear from your thread I can bump up to maybe 500$ items, get limited, stealth it out, get it lifted and go on my mary way with excellent buyer feedback without paypal creeping up on me over and over again. As I said previously I don,t want to throww these accounts into the fire cause they take to much time and effort to establish. Thanks for your response. |

My heart just missed a beat.paypal do not play nicely. An account can get more than one limitation. Please understand that. A well run account with good FB may still have a second limitation (& more). Using paypal never is safe & an account is always under their eye. Pretty sure by now you will have read Here We Go Again's posts about running x2 accounts. Please realize you have to spread your sales, and keep everything balanced.:peace: |
| Hercules | 04-09-2009 07:22 PM | I guess there is no straight answer. Lets say I have a cheap line of watches that go for 50 to 100 bucks, I've been selling these things for 6 months with no problems and with glorious feedback. All of the sudden a man hands me 300 rolex watches and jumps off a bridge never to be seen again. I start to list them but bang paypal, vero, whatever, says no. I fax proof, can I sell these legit goodies? That's my question. I guess people with legit vero just give up and go to the pawn shop. Thanks for your response. |
| Hercules | 04-09-2009 07:37 PM | GreenBean, do you mean that throwing in a hot item here and there throughout many accounts and then cooling it for a while then selling easy stuff then going through this cycle as I describe is what you and others here are trying to say to me? | | All times are GMT -5.
