VeRo on Digital Video Game Items, without any logos in the images?
 

I don't understand why my listings keep getting Vero'd?

I'm selling digital items in a video game, and don't have any of their logos in my marketing images.

Would I be better off simply removing the video game's name off my listing?

have you contacted the email address in the VERO notice? The Rights holder will likely explain it to you

Likely the video game name is causing the issue but how else would you get buyers? Keep in mind that digital items are subject to huge platform scrutiny...

Yeah I hear ya, I think if they don't get back to you after 5 days you can contact Ebay about it. Is it definitely a genuine VERO account?

I had a VERO complaint last year from someone claiming to represent a huge worldwide company, but what was suspicious was that the item they reported has nothing to do with the company they claimed to work for, and they were using a yahoo email address.

I emailed them, saying that I was under the impression I was entitled the sell the item but if they would provide their copyright/trademark numbers or paperwork I would be happy to stop.

They didn't reply so eventually I contacted Ebay and they looked into the account and eventually lifted the 10 day restriction for me.

Bots target keywords such as the game name and description. You should make custom pictures not what you find on google. Once they get you one time they keep targeting you so you have to let account cool down especially if you had 2 strikes. Some people put a copyright disclaimer in description but that doesn’t seem to help much in my opinion. It’s best to work on a new account while waiting.

I’m in the same type of business so know what you’re going through, people are getting weeded out if you don’t find a way around it.
