Vero times

Hello guys,

I've been vero'd a few times in the past few weeks. I ordered a ton of stuff that I need to get rid of. I'm thinking about listing on weekends only. I'm wondering if it would be easier for my product to bypass vero on the weekends. I'm going to hold 1 day auctions, beginning on Friday nights.

I've heard people say they've gotten vero items through with no reports on the weekends.

How many of you have gotten vero'd on weekends?

oompaloompa 03-18-2010 02:24 PM

vero takedowns on weekends?, yes forumers get them all the time....it depends on who you think is doing the listing, the vero HQ or employees at home on weekends, or some other party, you could do some research on when you think the best time is, so from friday pm to Monday am, may be best chance for you, but its so difficult to say

it's kinda pissing me off. I have a lot of merchandise and can't really get rid of it now. Craigslist has been kinda slow.

My vero items aren't even staying up 24 hours.

Im thinking about taking a word out of the name of the product ...it'll still be found in the search engine..but im not using the companies name anywhere....i won't even put it in the description. I wonder if that would work.

yes , thats under vero workarounds, a thread on this forum

Listing on the weekends has seemed to work for some people. Taking it down on Sundays would be best.

I was in the same position, I had a bunch of vero stuff I needed to get rid of. I just listed over the weekend- it worked- I listed as Buy It Now, put a low price on it, and let them fly out the door. Maybe I should have pulled it down on sunday night, b/c first thing Monday morning, it was all pulled, even retroactively to every sale over the weekend, and every customer got an email (grrrr). But I still got the money and I still shipped it all out.
And a 7-day suspension, lol

I have, in the past, listed over the weekend and it was pulled immediately. I kinda think once you get nabbed for vero, you're hot on their list. I just used an account that has been untouched for 4 months, and I do think that helped it stay up longer, versus a newer account I have, where any vero things get pulled immediately.

i was trying to investigate if weekends worked for high risk vero removals

there are ways round it as some items were removed and some items werent just checking to see what the common demoninator is for risk free listings or if i just got lucky

I listed on the weekend. It didn't work for me. I really don't know what to do now. I ended getting hit with a 7 day suspension.

Anyone know if you can get a vero takedown AFTER the listing has ended? Say you sell something between 5pm and 10pm (when a vero is not as active) then around 10pm you end the listing... will the vero still report you AFTER the listing has ended? Any input or success stories?

cardfelon 03-25-2010 10:20 PM

Yes you can still get your listing removed. If the VERO member reports it to Ebay sometimes it can take up to 12hrs before somebody at Ebay gets around to looking at it and removing the listing. If it has been more than 24hrs since the listing ended and you haven't gotten the dreaded email then I would say your in the clear:)

anyone gotten their listing reported DAYS after one ended it on purpose?

GreenBean 03-26-2010 05:01 PM

Yep, it happens. Someone had troubles 21 days after a vErO listing. All kinda of troubles,

OfficialGenius 03-26-2010 05:06 PM

Private listing if you're selling too much of the same product. ;)

yup, that's what I am doing. But on the completed listings, it shows a history of like 3-4 weeks and that's a way that they could see what you sold... So far, it's worked we'll. It's a lawyer that reports the vero and I found out they work 9AM-5PM and closed on weekends. Wonder if they only do take downs of 'active' listings.............. So far she's gotten me twice on Ebay, once on Ioffer.
