Johnston and Pham email
 

Hi guys and girls! First time poster, long time lurker. Bought the stealth guide a year ago.

Long story short... last month I posted a high risk vero item. Was the very first time posting it, and I have not sold other vero items on this account. The listing got pulled within 16 hours, and all I got from Ebay was the warning email... no suspension or limits.

Three weeks later I got the Johnston and Pham email... "cease and desist, send us $900, send us your supplier info, etc". My intention is to ignore and take no action, but here's my question:

They ebay account in question is under a variation of my first name with my real last name. The phone number on the account was a prepaid phone that is now dead, and the address is p.o. box that was in my real name, but I cancelled that box 6 months ago. What are the chances they'll actually find me at my real address, if they even care to?

Email is not a form of service. it can be ignored. Since you are aware of the potential problems, suggest you be prepared to ignore certified mail notifications.:ranger:

As to what they will do, dont know. This is general advice only and all that the forum does.

Probably nothing will happen. But you might want to re-think your business model.

Stealth techniques can make you invisible to PayPal and eBay, but they will NOT make you invisible to LAW ENFORCEMENT!

So,. if the intention is to use stealth technqiues to sell counterfeit goods (or commit other illegal acts), be aware that you CAN be found by the FBI, the police and other branches of law enforcement.

I'll keep everybody updated. I've seen tons of posts online about ppl getting this email, many of them worse than mine, but I've only found one or two with someone saying they actually got served.

What happened?
 

I got the same e mail. I tried contacting the lawfirm and they called me back 4 days later. Dont know what to do. Did your case go anywhere?

So what happened with this? I had the same thing happen to me. I have been reading everywhere to just ignore it but then there are some people who say not to. What gives?
