| JakobHarper | 11-01-2010 10:33 PM | Gilette Razors Vero? Im interested in selling Gilette Razors on ebay. What do you guys think...I would get them from DHgate...thats what worries me. Suggestions?
Thanks and this is my first post. Been lurking over the weekend and learning a lot! |
| jbluntz | 11-01-2010 10:40 PM | Just make sure you send them a free bottle of after shave with it, they're gonna need it. |
| MadSam | 11-01-2010 11:49 PM | Yes Gilette are big on VERO. I haven't sold VERO but I hear Gilette are very active. If you're buying razors from DHGate that would concern me. |
| SaiJin | 11-01-2010 11:54 PM | OP: Put up your country flag |
| jeffweico | 11-02-2010 12:16 AM | The razors on DHGate are counterfeit.
So are most of the ones on eBay.
I know this because a few years ago, I bought a pack of refills for the Mach 3. At the time, it never occurred to me that anyone would counterfeit razor blades.
Now the Mach 3 and the REAL cartridges are a reasonably good product that performs pretty much as you would expect. But using those counterfeit replacement cartridges is like getting a shave from Freddy Krueger! JBuntz mentioned after shave. Maybe, if you are lucky. If not, you might need an EMERGENCY ROOM!
I would DEFINITELY stay away from those ⊗⊗⊗⊗ razor refills. |
| MadSam | 11-02-2010 12:41 AM | Goes back to what we were talking about potentially dangerous counterfeits. |
| jbluntz | 11-02-2010 12:51 AM | Yeah bloody cheeks and blown up kids on mopeds hahaha I was trying to hold my laugh there didn't really mean it, it just slipped. |
| Imback2010 | 11-02-2010 02:35 AM | lol...this thread is hilarious:clap: |
| newtools | 11-02-2010 02:41 AM | haaaaaaaaaaaaa kaboom moped. sorry! do the kids really shave yet? how about dh tampons or lead pillowpets! I would think twice. |
| JakobHarper | 11-02-2010 07:57 AM | Thanks guys. I'm just frustrated I can't find anything with a profit margin to sell on eBay. I know there are items out there but I haven't seen any yet. So for now, I'm still looking. My country flag is USA.
I sell legit furniture on eBay through an American manufacturer for years now but I'm so fed up with dealing with returns, back ordered inventory, delayed shipping times. And furniture doesn't necessarily sell like hot cakes either btw...
I just want something small and profitable I could keep in my back spare room piled up to the ceiling and mail out 20, 30, 100+ a day. I need to be in control of my own shipping lol. THanks |
| jeffweico | 11-02-2010 10:16 AM | Importing stuff can be a good plan.
However, it is NOT LEGAL to import, FOR RESALE, anything that is copyrighted or trademarked UNLESS you have a "Letter of Authority" from the brand owner.
And pretty much everything on DHGate that is copyrighted or trademarked is counterfeit. |
There is plenty of people selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ razors and blades on eBay, but they are still vero. I looked into it before and decided there was much better things to sell with bigger profit. |
| JakobHarper | 11-02-2010 05:54 PM | Could you give me an example :D ? |
| Imback2010 | 11-02-2010 09:51 PM | just look at the ebay vero page but selling vero software destroys any acccount stay away from anything vero software i burned through almost 30 paypals the money was addicting but in the end it all caught up I'm not suggesting to sell vero its not worth the legal risk or financial risks |
| jbluntz | 11-02-2010 09:56 PM | software i burned through almost 30 paypals the money was addicting
Same here and still at it, love it! but yeah newbies stay away, no hand holding! |
| needhelpplease | 11-02-2010 10:02 PM | Nobody is really going to tell you what magic item to sell.....and that is kind of the beauty of ebay, you can pretty much buy ANYTHING because people sell so many different things..but what I did when I first got ADDICTED to ebay after selling around the house "garbage" for crazy amounts of money is I went to my local library and checked out a million books on ebay and selling on ebay etc and jotted down some ideas......went through a bunch of them and all with success....but some items caused me more time than others and some items caused me more shipping charges then others and in the end what I found is what I want is this.....be able to list at a start of .99 knowing there would be a 99% chance of it going up up up up and up (because this kept the insertion fees down), wanted to sell items that were CHEAP to ship using flat rate type packaging or lighter weight items and wanted to sell items that had a high winning bidder payout (getting non paying bidders is HoRRIBLY ANNOYING!) After about 6-7 years of this and that, I found what works for me....so my advice is research research and more research and find something that interests you....dont be close minded to just considering "wholesale" or "bulk buying" or "dropshipping" etc. there are so many things out there! Good Luck! |
| upstateholdings | 11-20-2010 10:49 PM | YeA they got me Yeaa gillette is bad for Vero. I just lost 9 of my listings yesterday actually. Was on here to see if anyone had any experience with that but i see where we are. Got them straight from china and had no prev exp with vero and 10 years on ebay. I get policy violations here and there for cars and misc, but vero proctor and gamble booted over $500 in auctions with 2 days left lol blows.....rest of stock will have to be listed under other accts and see if i get a shot at blowing out some larger lot, smaller number of listings to finish off inventory. Most things like this im seeing work for about 3 weeks then i run out of options. Thanks for threads like this guys ! |
| Imposter | 11-20-2010 11:08 PM | Selling software is easy if you spread the risk (have multiple accounts) & dont use an account for 2 weeks when you get a vero warning. I made that mistake in the first place, I got giddy with all the money so I put 7 on a buy it now & got 2 accounts suspended that were linked.
Now ive read the stealth book i'm almost ready to go again with 5 new accounts i created yesterday & they will be ready in a week when they have matured. i'll follow all the instructions in the stealth book to make these new accounts last. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:28 AM. | |
