VeRO Brands to Avoid Selling on eBay?

I've been searching through the forum to get some ideas on what items to avoid selling on eBay due to high VeRO take downs and with this bans (and in some cases legal action, deep poop there).

I've managed to determine that at least Gillette, Skullcandy, Beachbody, Disney and Adidas/Reebok are hardcore on anything that looks like a 'threat'. But who else should I avoid?

I'm working with an account I've slowly developed over numerous weeks selling lots of cheap junk basically and its going well with good score and 100% feedback and I would like to keep it like that, but also up my game and the reality is, brands sell the best

I'm considering moving into cloths as I know of a good supplier (Genuine to my best knowledge).

But more expensive electronics too.

Any VeRO's I should avoid indefinitely?

You can look up VERO members on eBay. If you have a legitimate source for merchandise, then you can approach them and ask for permission to sell their items. They will probably ask who your supplier is, so you will have to give them that information. Some VERO members will allow you to sell, and some will not.

I HIGHLY recommend against selling counterfiets of any kind.

Some people think that all they need to worry about is a VERO takedown. However, that is not true. Brand owners, especially for DVD's and mid-range clothing items, will have an undercover buyer make a purchase from a seller they suspect of selling counterfeits. If they receive a counterfeit item, the next thing that happens is you will receive a letter from their attorneys demanding that you stop selling the items immediately and cough up $1,000 - $30,000 as a settlement - OR ELSE.

You do not want to know about the OR ELSE.

But legitimate items are no problem, at least not with having to worry about the undercover buyers.

If they are 100%real and you can prove it and if you contacted the vero people for the items and they give u the ok u ate good but u had better make sure they are the real deal or you will not be happy with what they do to you.

While it is true that Johnson & Pham sends many letters and files relatively few lawsuits, they DO file suits when an undercover buyer has purchased a set, or when they are notified about a customs seizure.

Email and even regular mail CAN be ignored. But when you are served with a summons and complaint, you will know a suit has been filed.

Personally, I don't care what anybody sells. And I'm glad that nothing came of the letter to Christopher. But to believe that you can sell such things with no consequences is simply not true.

If you sell this type of stuff, you CAN be sued. And if you sell enough of it, then the FBI CAN get involved and then jail is a POSSIBILITY. That does not mean it will happen to everyone. If you want to sell these things, and you know what the risks are, and you are willing to take the risks, then go for it. What I have a problem with is posts that lead newbies to believe that there are no cosequences and that nothing can happen to them.

It's like this. If you normally eat half a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast, McDonald's for lunch, a big juicy steak for dinner, and then wash it all down with a bottle of Jack Daniels while smoking cigarettes all day, then you MAY have a heart-attack. Not EVERYONE who follows the above diet will have a heart attack, but a good percentage will. If you want to roll the dice, that is up to you. I'm just saying be aware of the risks.
