Received email from attorney VeRO and Ebay suspension

I was selling [undisclosed] items on Ebay and went through maybe 4 different accounts.

Two of them were suspended, then my paypal account was limited. Obviously this was frustrating, but I gave up and quit selling [undisclosed] stuff.

About 2 weeks late I get an email from [undisclosed] law firm stating that they represent the company of the stuff I was selling.

I have looked them up and unfortunately they are a completely legitimate law firm, and a very prestigious one at that.

They claim [undisclosed] company is threatening to sue unless I do a whole bunch of things including cease sale of items, send remaining inventory back to them, provide contact details, etc. It says I must reply within 10 days.

I'm scared sh*tless, for lack of a better word. I don't know if it's just a threat, that they're hoping I'll just get out of dodge and shut up like a good little civilian. My dear is just that when the 10 days are up, I'll have the fuzz knocking on my door.

Please help!

Greedy and scared sh*less are often best mates.

verO is just that. Sell it and there are consequences. First time an account got taken down, sensible sellers stop. 4 times was greed. :pop2:

Your title says email received but your text says letter? One or both?

Which particular undisclosed item do you mean? Big amounts, little amounts?

How did they get your address? Are you selling VeRO with legit sellers info?

Either way I would call an attorney and see what they say. Many of them do free consults either over the phone or by apointment. If they say you have a problem then you do but you do need to speak with someone like that.

You need to protect yourself or I guess try to. You should have stopped long ago so perhaps a lawyer will just dampen you ass whipping from that company.. Better than the full brunt for sure.

You really need some legal advice here. From a lawyer. Seriously.

The bottom line here is that you knowingly sold counterfeits. They can most likely prove that due to you having gone through 4 accounts. A law firm is now after you and threatening to sue.

At this point, you need professional legal help. Many forum mebers may try to be helpful, but we are not attorneys and cannot give you legal advice. Find a lawyer who can help you. If you have no idea how to find one, call the Bar Association in your area. They can refer you to an attorney that can help you.
