Listing Reinstatement

So just a few days ago i had a posting that was removed for Copyright Violation and that i would be getting an email from the BSA.

Just today i get a message from eBay saying that they restored the item that was removed.

Is it safe to relist my item?

If you need any more info, just ask. Thanks for reading!

What is the BSA?
What do you mean, by they restored the item that was removed?

Well here is what part of the first message said:

"Your item was removed because of a request we received from BSA (Business Software Alliance) (US), a member of our Verified Rights Owner Program (VeRO), asking us to remove the item for:

- Software offered for sale is in violation of an enforceable license agreement, which constitutes a copyright infringement."

It then went on to say that i would be recieveing an email from them.

And the second message i got said:

"We have restored the following listing:

XXXXXXXXXXXX

It now appears as an ended item.

To relist your item, click the "Relist" link in the listing. The listing will restart automatically.

If there were any bidders for your item, we emailed them to let them know the listing for Item number XXXXXXXXX was removed in error. We've also explained how they can find your item again if you relist it.

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you."

Hope this clears some things up.

 Stooopid ebay hitting an account like that.

As it stands, the item could be re-listed.
But there's a chance it might get take down again.

If you are 1000% sure you have the right to re-list then do it. If you have any doubt, then check with ebay/BSA that you are allowed.

I had the same issue few months ago, I re-listed the item again after they reinstated, it got removed again, Then I called Ebay, they gave me the usual bla bla bla talking, but they never reinstated the item again

BSA is just a thug group (Business Software Alliance) that uses eBay's easily abusable VERO system to slap down many legit items, while of course completely ignoring the thousands of high quality chinese counterfeits. Any software questions, give me a holler; I've fought some of these guys and won every time.

Interesting ovidiu.

Well what I am basically saying is despite the blah blah blah on these group's web pages, their basic MO on eBay is to bully legit sellers who are off-loading a legit copy of autocad or what not.

Don't get me wrong. I fully support these groups going after organized counterfeiters, who really do hurt resellers of the legit product by driving down prices. But their eBay activities are not related to counterfeiters, for the most part.
