MC999 Ebay listing Removed: Trademark Violation

Hi,
I was selling Iphone 4 cases made by Vans and in less than 2 weeks ebay ended my listing due to Veros reporting as a trademark violation supposively by Vans instruction to do so.

Now they want me to email them receipts and where I got cases.
I bought them wholesale and many ebay users are selling them now.

Not sure why I was targeted. Is there a way around Veros?

I am new and any feedback would really help.

I have 11 good reviews no bad ones and then all of a sudden I cant relist. I have boxes full of cases since I was planning on building my selling limits to sell other things..

Welcome to the forums.

Sadly, you were targetted likely because of using iPhone term.

You need to search the forums - these kind of issues have been discussed many times.

If you cannot provide the info they want, you might have to let this account go.

All the best.

Hi-
Thank you for your response. I did search Veros before. Only answer I got is to create a stealth account. I am using similar heading as other users that have the same product on Ebay and was taken down and cannot relist. I thought maybe it was another seller not Veros and after researching on other forums, I can see that it is possible.

iPhone wasnt the issue here RSOT, it is VANs. Clearly you bought the wholesale and they are not officially licensed Vans product, so unfortunately you can not sell them again. I suppose you can relist them without the "Vans" in the title, but people will have a tough time fining your item, and you also run the risk of suspension.

Thank you. I figured it was because of the Vans , however I thought maybe another seller selling same thing had flagged it. Only because their plenty of people selling these exact same vans cases down to color and packaging. So I was wondering how they get around Veros ? Only thing I came up with is that , they are Veros.

Most likely was Vans. You should do some research to see if the product/company your selling flags items, even if they arent listed on ebays page.

Stop worrying about everyone else , highway patrol doesn't catch everyone speeding... You got caught!

They are watching your next move... :rip::ban?:

I got the same MC999 notice for selling Vans cases today. I am so worry I will be sued by Vans. Is that a possibility? How should I respond if they ask me for my source? Any words of wisdom? Thanks!

Need more information:
1. How many did you sell?
2. Were you taken down by Ebay or Vans(vero)?
3. Have you received any emails from Vans to stop selling?
4. Is the ebay/Paypal account stealth or in your Real name, address, etc.?
5. Do you have invoices for your product(s)?

6. Are you going to research your items correctly in future?

:juggle:

Welcome to the forums.

7. Will you search more around the forums for `MC999` notices and similar situations for discussion info?

All the best

If its the same notice I received. What eBay does is ends the listing explaining VeROs was contacted by Vans as your item being counterfeit. If you want to have it relisted you need to follow instructions on email you received , which is pictures and proof of purchase. If you know your product is counterfeit, or you are finding out the hard way, then don't relist and sell only authentic products. If its authentic then provide information. Basically the email is a violation not a letter from an attorney looking to sue you.
