| Fullon | 08-06-2012 07:38 PM | xbox 360 - worth the risk? i have around 30pcs i can sell on ebay and make a nice profit, but should i take the risk?
thanks pros |
There's always a risk in selling any electronics. Perhaps you have already made up your mind otherwise you probably would of never bought the 30 pcs, right?
Everything we do is a risk, Life is a risk but here we are.
Good luck. |
| unkown5454 | 08-06-2012 08:55 PM | 30pcs...haha. |
| BiN4RY | 08-06-2012 09:15 PM | You're gonna have to spread that on many other accounts unless you have a legitimate distributer that can provide an invoice. |
| Fullon | 08-07-2012 05:19 AM | I mean i saw this new seller who sold 6 packs in couple of hours! this is insane. If i sell let's say only 10, and i sell all of them at the same day, but really does it worth the risk? yes that would be pain but i can get a legitimate invoice.
many thanks everyone |
| unkown5454 | 08-07-2012 01:22 PM | And do you know if that seller still exists? Do you know what his PP account looks like or if his money has been frozen, etc?
You are simply guessing unless he has been selling for a long time. In which case, he clearly has supplied legitimate invoices. |
| First Edition | 08-07-2012 01:55 PM | Where are they shipping from? You're selling on the usa site? |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 02:55 PM | Hey thanks guys for your answers.
And yes on eby US
The items shipped from from Ohio. I thought about something - I saw this chinese seller who sells Ralph Lauren knockoffs for like 35$, but he doesn't write "Ralph Lauren" in the title nor in the description. Just "Polo Big Pony Size L" etc. I thought maybe this is something i can do as well, what are your thoughts?? i don't mind to sell 1 or 2 a day. |
| unkown5454 | 08-12-2012 03:14 PM | Oh yea, D.H.Gate tried the same nonsense...look what PP did there ;). There are a lot more trigger words and algorithms in place then just the brand names.
You are going to see ill.e.gal stuff all day on EB. So stop trying to justify your tactics as such. They also get removed constantly one way or another. But, I highly doubt you keep up with those statistics as well. You are playing a guessing game. No one here can help you with that. You just need to do it and learn on your own as your accounts get slammed down left and right. You want the safest option? One PP and EB account per X.box sold... :boink: :boink: :boink: :violin: :ballchain: |

| Fullon | 08-12-2012 03:59 PM | ok GrannyT, thank you so much. I really appreciate your help guys.
Is it ok if I list here things and you will say if you think it safe or not? (just yes and no). I know about the vero list, but is it updated? so maybe you can help me to decide what to buy for resell. only if you want to of course |
| GrannyT | 08-12-2012 04:00 PM | If you think there might be a problem isn't it safer to walk away and find something else? |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 04:05 PM | yeah i will not sell the xbo, even though the seller said he provides me a legit invoice, i'm afraid pp worker will take my source of xbo and keep my acc banned. they do that sort of stuff sometimes right? |
| GrannyT | 08-12-2012 04:13 PM | If your supplier could supply legitimate invoices he must be a very very big player
I can smell cow droppings here Fullon |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 04:27 PM | Hi, I know what you're thinking. Anyway, this is a huge company. They do business only with companies who their net profit is above $350k a year, he is doing me a big favor because my dad helped him a lot at hard times years ago. He has more products of other companies as well.. but the minimum i can get is 30 for the 100$-200$ range products, and for a good price. I have a profit of 120$ on each xbo after eb/pp feees. I'm just trying to get a normal income, but i understand the issue. will just look for other things of small companies and not microsoft.
many thanks again |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 04:32 PM | What about this product?
http://www.amazon.com/InFocus-X1-Video-Projector/dp/B00007986G/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1344807109&sr=1-9&keywords=infocus+projectorIs it also dangerous??
thx. |
| unkown5454 | 08-12-2012 05:08 PM | Fullon, if you want to try any of these items, by all means try it. We are saying that these types of items take some serious knowledge and experience for someone to be successful at selling them because they are notorious for being obtained ill.egally or coun.terf.eit. Very few companies are authorized to sell M.soft products, no matter what you think you see online or elsewhere.
If you feel that this person legitimately sources their products directly from the licensed manufacturer and is approved as a reseller by Mi.cro.soft, then build accounts properly and give it a shot. No one here can stop you from doing anything, it's simply our best advice from our own knowledge and experience. I have products that come from licensed distributors and even then I experienced problems and had to create more than one account to be able to sell them. All of my papers verify 100% and my products are not even a big brand name or retail anywhere close to $200-$300 like yours. Yet, I still went through some hell just to get them on EB. |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 05:32 PM | thanks a lot for the very prompt answer, it seems like a real pain dealing with brands. so lets say i tried my luck with this inffocus projectoor, and they contact me to provide an invoice with details and i don't have, or it's too late to provide, they just remove the listing or they get my accc limited? because i remember about 1.5 yrs ago i tried to sell calvin klein perfume (lol didn't know about aspkkin) and they just warned me and removed my listing, but it was so long ago and i haven't listed that item ever again. |
| unkown5454 | 08-12-2012 07:09 PM | Each case is different, but most of the time when a problem with products arises, EB and PP will both be limited and they will want invoices. The worse part is that there is no guarantee that they will let you sell these products again even with legitimate invoices. They may say that your supplier is not authorized to resell to you. So, even if your product checks out, your method of supply does not and they still shut you down permanently. Also, if you actually happened to sell a few, they can cancel all of the auctions and send letters to each buyer to immediately open cases and get their money back. Now your PP account is in massive debt and you are out of products if you already shipped them.
We already know that you personally are not authorized by M.Soft to sell such products, especially since this deal you speak of sounds 100% "backdoor". A distributor who only deals with customers that spend $350k/year on products with him and yet he is willing to chuck a few to the side for you? If he is licensed in any way, why would he risk such a privilege just to sell to some random person who is not authorized in any way and for so little profit? |
| Fullon | 08-12-2012 07:44 PM | Thanks for your time, got the answers I was looking for. He is able to provide me over 80,000 products from the US and some are not even on eb. I will look for low risk items.
Thanks again and thanks everyone. |
