what to do with Vero hit

I was hit by vero and got a/c restricted for selling for 30days.
before I received vero email from ebay, a dummy a/c contacted me saying " you're selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗d item and I will report to ebay bla bla" .
Is this from a competitor ? mostly look like but however ebay listen to him/her?
and I still doubt the right owner didnt send ebay the remove request it was the dummy a/c did something to target me through stupid ebay.

I contacted the right owner as cited on ebay email guess what no reply and i contacted ebay again asking for what to do next if no reply from the owner, ebay said they will contact the owner for me as well, after another 7 days still no reply. I submitted a complaint and relist my stuff and got removed and a/c restricted for 30 days.
then Trust and Safety contacted me saying you need to patient and just wait...

I cannot do anything else except waiting now. I feel 99% the right owner wont reply.

What can I do now...I want to sell:confused:

I think your best bet is to wait it out until the end of the 30 day restriction. If you carry on listing your account could be at risk.

BigCJ 11-13-2012 01:12 PM

Make another account and start again until the restriction comes off. It seems to be the only thing to do at this time.

The owner is not obligated to respond im afraid and even if the items are real, they just may not want the competition on ebay :/

and I'm still wondering how ebay listen to the dummy a/c reporting. how can this done?
could the dummy from a competitor or the right owner's ebay a/c?

here are his/her threatening msg.

---"This is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ too. You should figure it out before you sell it. I'm so sad. You will be reported."

---"Why you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ xxx?
These are ⊗⊗⊗⊗ xxx species. You will be reported."

BigCJ 11-13-2012 09:17 PM

If there is a competitor with many accounts, they can hit the report link and get your listings pulled.

Usually, a legit owner is not going to send you a message like that. obvious competitor. You would get a pretty legal looking email from a firm suit representing the company warning you to stop.

Just let the account cool off for now.

jeffweico 11-13-2012 09:45 PM

It STILL could have been the VERO member who requested that eBay pull the listing. The VERO members are not obligated to communicate with you.

I just don't see how a brand new account with ZERO feedback could make a complaint to eBay and have listings pulled.

No but it could have the account looked at manually and who knows what else was being sold. There are some items that are just automatically considered ⊗⊗⊗⊗ no matter what. I learned that lesson when I tried to sell a legit p90x used. I had pics of original with receipts and everything as instructed and still got pulled. Now I know better, but then I had no clue.

Welcome to the forums.

All sound advice here.

Let the account cool off - begin few other stealth accounts if you want to make the sales.

I would investigate with eb and find out who reported...if it is the VeRo owner then you would need permission.

Really depends on the product being sold.

It's just fashion jewelry. Not a big item like iphone or else.
How to find out who reported from ebay? I doubt ebay wont give out any infor.

volume 11-15-2012 07:27 PM

The thing is even my a/c back to normal. I still cannot list this item again on this a/c.
If I sell through stealth a/c coz it's new a/c so only can sell one or two to wait it aging and avoid any special attention. but who knows maybe next day the item will be pulled down again.
I got a big bag of merchants, need to find a way to bulk sell.

GreenBean 11-15-2012 07:33 PM

You need to realise you are not (quite) in a position to (bulk) sell.

Costume jewelry can have a brand name... that's your risk.

Costume jewelry can be copied & presented as the 'real thing'. That's your selling risk.

Sort out your rights to sell this stuff or risk losing accounts
