Sourcing potential Vero item

I have an item that could be a potential Vero item. However, I have a US based supplier who says it's legit. I would expect it to have issues if it were an overseas supplier, but I would think a large US company wouldn't risk faulty items.

So, if I get hit by eBay, I guess I am wondering how far do I have to go in determine the legitimacy of the item? I have correspondence from a large wholesaler, saying it's good. I wouldn't think I have to trace his whole supply chain.

How far back do I have to go, especially with a US company?

Thanks.

You go as far as you MUST to determine the item is viable to sell without violating any VeRo rights.

You do not 'take' the word of a supplier but you get written proof of the item being OK.

Anything less and you risk the chance of a MC019 takedoen.

Anything less, you deserve it too.

Any sellers must fully check their items to make sure they are OK

the end.
