Can crafty wording prevent VeRo violations?
 

If I create a listing that NEVER describes my product as an original and blur out the name/trademark of the item, will this be violating any VeRo or ebay policies?

Example: Selling an iPhone 4/4s OtterBox Defender Series case in original retail packaging. List it as iPhone 4/4s Rugged Defender Box and blur out the words OtterBox in the listings pictures. Describe it without ever relating it to Otterbox in any way.

I'm new in the eBay Stealth game so please be kind! =)

If you are selling an item and not properly described then you are potentially creating two issues.

1. Buyers could mark you down on your DSR for product description, they could even leave you positive feedback but still leave a 1-2 star DSR.

2. You could impact sales volume as ppl do search for key brands on ebay. If its genuine then its better to promote the brand and associated keywords. People will be searching on brand terms and you want your item to appear in the best match results for optimal sales. Disguising it as suggested could hurt your sales.

If its not genuine then it dont matter if you disguise it or not, phakes always eventually lead to issues with your customers and account on eBay and eBay are quick to shut down accounts reported as selling counterfeits.

Crafty wording & VeRo are not a great combination.

VeRo are craftier than majority of sellers. ;)
