MC019 Listing policy violation alert: Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item
 

Hi,
Sorry if there are million duplicate threads but i am not brilliant at this.

I today received a message from ebay -MC019 Listing policy violation alert: Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item. This was in relation to some Nike trainers i was selling.

Firstly I am not a major seller and have only sold an handful of items, though most have been Nike trainers due to loving sneakers/trainers.

Anyway i have contacted Ebay and they have informed me it was the actual company that had raised the issue about the item and that's why it's been taken off the site. They have informed me they will raise the issue with the goal of me being allowed to re-list the item.

I am just after some information from you guys of what I have done is wrong. The actual trainers I bought from Nike.com and got them in the sale so when i have sold them I have sold at a decent price because I am not in to the buying and selling game to make money.

Any help would be really appreciated because I am nervous about selling any of my other Nike items.

Moral of story is do not sell NIKE on an account that can not withstand getting flagged.

Look to other places to sell.

Problem with UK, is you can not defend the MC019.

NIKE have an active take-down program and chase after sellers.

Said items are often counterfeited.

Will I have the chance to prove they are genuine or just put it down to experience and don't sell on eBay again.

It annoys me if I would have put down the Full RRP and made money off somebody I probably would have had no issues.

Last question how have they found my item in a million of other items?

Like I said, NIKE are active with their VeRo take down program.

Rumour is that they have 'interns' who scour the online sites for their items....

NIKE are simply serious about these items because they get reproduced.

It is a warning.

Hi,
Just been back in contact with Ebay and been informed it was how I listed the Item?

I have given them My Nike.uk Order number and receipt for the trainers and will just wait and see what they say.

Hi,
Well I had a few conversations with Ebay and i was told basically the item wasn't described properly and therefore it was withdrawn. I have been allowed to re-list the item and it's now sold thankfully. I can't help but think if i had put a higher selling price on the shoes I wouldn't have had a problem.
