Is selling Nike Yeezys very risky?
 

I have a legit pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red Octobers and I want to sell but I'm scared of eBay shutting down my account. I don't have any feedback (but I sold one item and the buyer didn't leave feedback) which I'm sure makes Nike think I'm selling fugazi shoes.

The thing that confuses me is that one guy sold 8 pairs of extremely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Red Octobers for $150 (these shoes are worth $3,000) and he's still going strong.

Yes it is extremely risky - especially with no selling history (and one single item sold is not a history - its one single item...).
And you say another account sells but offer no info on it and you dont know that account's situation and what he went through to be able to list those.
Id suggest building up more history as a seller before you attempt to sell that.

Crap. Even though I knew I couldn't sell such a high value item; I was in denial. Thanks for saving me man. I'll grow my account with good feedback and then I will sell the shoes.

If you list those shoes on a brand new account, it will go down. Nothing like overpriced shoes to take an account down!

Life is a Mystery, if you try to understand it....your going to get lost in it and never have a clear mind....point is, don't worry about others...worry about your account.

On a side note, I'm also confused on how a pair of shoes that probably cost $10 in material and $5 in cheap Taiwanese labor can cost $3,000.

please tell me you have a receipt to prove they are real. i keep all receipts for every high end designer item i own in case i decide to sell them down the road and i have not had an issue yet.

Actually, I'm thinking if the shoes are legit he should not have a problem. It doesn't matter if the account has 0 feedback, you have to start somewhere.

I would ship fast, provide tracking and send the buyer a nice note in your package thanking them for their business and politely ask them to please take the time to leave feedback.

It's truly amazing just how many people seem to have multiple pairs of the genuine shoe.

The problem is so many people sell counterfeit versions of these that eBay will assume his are to, even if they are not.

The same applies for a lot of heavily counterfeited items

@Yeezy, welcome to the forums - always make backup stealth accounts. Nike - whichever way you cut it - is risky to sell.

What the other seller is doing might work for you.

NIKE are one of the more aggro IP rights companies. He does need to know his facts though about the manufacturer.

Mine are. They are not the Red October though.

But my offical receipt comes from their shop in Singapore.

No Chinese friend gave me the receipt.
