| mmac900 | 02-26-2009 09:41 PM | How to safely sell vero? My account recently got taken down for vero violations, the company itself told ebay to shut me down. I have a lot of vero items and its all ive been selling ever since I started doing ebay about 6 months ago, so is there any way to stay under the radar? I have never actually gotten suspended for this before. If I start listening 1-2 a week and slowly build up my rep, do you think I will be fine? Any other tips? |
| aspkin | 02-26-2009 10:23 PM | Really selling VeRO is only asking be limited again and again..
You can try listing in different categories, using different titles and descriptions.. but persistent VeRO will find you.
It's not a good idea selling VeRO items. |
| Here We Go Again | 02-27-2009 01:28 AM | Certain VERO items you can get away with 365 days a year.
BUT
Certain VERO items will get pulled within hours of you listing them.
The trick is to learn what brands & items work 365 days a year and which ones do not. |
| Burst | 02-27-2009 07:03 AM | I agree with you hwga on that. There are items you could list and sell a ton of without ever seeing one mc019. You just have to trial and error certain items.
If you do happen to get a violation and have a good amount of product left. Either quit while you're ahead or learn how other people are getting away with it. Take everything into detail. Title, how the products being shown in a picture, category. There's a lot of other things as well. You'll see what I'm talking about.
Hope this helps |
| EbayFreak | 02-27-2009 10:35 AM | Hi,
I think the same. Just list 1 or 2 items and not to much at the same time. What i always do if i list vero items is list them as used. You maybe get a little bit less for it, but F... it. Because i don`t think you stuff is real, so you still make a big profit. If you`re items are real just make sure you list all the details and make good photo`s from the packaging. If they take you down and you send the company(that asked ebay to take you down) all this information the will put you back on within 24 hours. I had a lot`s of phone call and emails with the nice lady from BOSE, because i was selling the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ on ebay. And i just went to the electronic store here local. And but a real pair, made some photo`s from it. Send this to here and within 24 hours my suspension was over. Try to contact them by email, because most of the times company `s only have 1 or 2 people on the counterfeit department so you take a big risk with calling them with 3 or 4 different names. I hope this helps you a bit. |

| boondoggle | 02-27-2009 11:26 PM | Very true, there are lots of tricks to learn, you have to find the answers yourself as when you find a way of selling VERO and making cash its not the kind of information you want to give out as the loophole would disappear very quickly. Find a way and milk it as quick as you can because it wont last forever. |
| Burst | 03-01-2009 12:23 PM | Im not sure if I mentioned this before but you can search google for "product + ebay" and if its a popular vero item, you should see some articles people have written. Find ones that compare the vero to real ones. Those are KEY features you need to focus on in order to properly sell sensitive items. |
| mmac900 | 03-01-2009 12:32 PM | That makes sense Orion! I had 2 of my auctions pulled and then I found out why, you need to take pics a certain way so ebay cant tell hehe |
| coolandcalm | 03-01-2009 11:33 PM | Vero can be sold safely, learn what works for other sellers doing the same Vero items as you and see how they take their pictures. Sometimes less is better and if you have some old receipt laying around, good idea to show some part of it. |
| wookster | 03-05-2009 04:05 PM | Best way to sell Vero is on your own website. Ebay will forever be taking you down and it is more pain and headaches then rewards. I have been Vero's so many times (even for legit items!).....ya Vero sucks. |
| aking | 03-05-2009 07:42 PM | it really depends on what the item is. The term "vero" is too vague as some vero items you wont have a problem with but others you will. Please be more specific. |
every time i am listing a "branded" item i always research it, google the item get specifics find out prices correct measurements and colors offered.. it is a time consuming process but very important if you want to stay alive on e-bay..homework if you will. also never answer questions without researching sender, many times someone may be targeting you..be CAREFUL!!! |
| BlumbySum | 03-31-2009 08:56 AM | That's some solid advice Cathy. I agree. wookster wrote: Quote:

| Is there a way to do this on Ebay APART from putting a link on your About Me page? You can include videos can't you. SO couldn't you just put a link in the vid or watermark it with your website URL?
I also read the terms where it says that you can have a link to an external site that further explains/describes the item. This opens an opportunity for some links to promoting your other products... BUT has anyone actually tried/risked trying it?? |
| eseller | 04-06-2009 05:26 PM | eBay took down my listings for REAL nikes telling me the are trademark infring - The kicks we're 100% legit bought at the nike outlet eBanza.com |
| yaw1800 | 04-06-2009 05:43 PM | someone must of reported you.. Nike is one vero item that you dont even have to be paypal verified to sell.. |
| aking | 04-06-2009 09:35 PM | yea, you got reported. eBay doesn't care about Nike. |
| boondoggle | 04-06-2009 09:46 PM | Stay away from Nike if youre a new seller. I bought 20 items (100% legit), scheduled them and had them all removed and the account suspended before any of the listings were even active. Very strange. I kept emailing them asking for an opportunity to contact the reporter with my receipts but every email is met with the usual bulls*** response about their concern. |
| oompaloompa | 04-07-2009 12:51 PM | yes, me too in the past, I dont play their vero game anymore, have many accounts instead, and if I get a takedown let it rest, dont appeal anymore not worth my time |
| NO ID | 04-08-2009 07:27 AM | Is it possible to get 1 vero and get suspended? I got 4 vero's before they suspended me.
Can you explain if when and how 1 vero can suspend me/you plz? |
| mmac900 | 04-08-2009 09:05 PM | it cant...its usually 3 or more. |
| GreenBean | 04-08-2009 09:18 PM | Not exactly. Would need No I.D. to define 'suspended'. In that is the account suspended/limited for 7 days, 30 days or forever: x1 vero could cause that.:peace: |

Can you explain if when and how 1 vero can suspend me/you plz? | If you re-list the same item after the warning...You need to wait for alert to go away 3+ months...or use another account you have, change photos, description, everything.... |
| GreenBean | 04-08-2009 09:35 PM | ^^^ Forgot that nasty. LOL. |
| mmac900 | 04-09-2009 06:56 PM | I think what he is asking if you would get automatically suspended for 1 vero item, and in my experience it takes 3 or more. If you get the warning for 1 or 2, you should let the account cool for 3 months. |
| oompaloompa | 04-10-2009 05:07 AM | no ususally one vero wont suspend you.
Only time ive heard of it was with a couple of aggressive companies in US, rare |
| NO ID | 04-10-2009 07:02 AM | thanks - that's exactly the answers I was looking for. Wondering if one hit from vero would cause any thing to happen to any account: suspension/limitation/blocked/termination....... |
You are fine with 1 Vero, just don't get tempted to list again on the same account in the same fashion..That's when they can just shut you down without 'second' vero warning. |
| EbayFreak | 04-10-2009 07:16 PM | Spend time in what your selling Quote:

Maybe longer if you can. Made the same mistake a couple weeks ago and BOOM everything gone again. And if you list ⊗⊗⊗⊗ vero items, look your items up online or buy 1 real one in the shop. Compare thAT to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ones and than you now what you shouldn't show in your photo`s. |
| GreenBean | 04-10-2009 07:20 PM | Or the answer might be 'How to safely sell? No to vero.' |

| ovidiu | 04-16-2009 07:52 PM | Why are you ignoring the answer right in front of you? Tabberone has the most experience with these issues, and now she's actually a member here. Of course, if you're trying to sell f**es, she can't help you, but otherwise... |

what do you think about just making all of your text putting this into a image... that way it cant be flagged IF they are using a computer for tracking certain wording.
If this would be the case you could have every damn word in an image then just rename the image every time and upload it to a free image hosting.... then change up the title then you should be golden.... I think????
At least this works for Craigslist and gets by all of there filters so i would almost think that it would work here as well... |
| Vicvelcro | 04-22-2009 11:58 PM | Doing so is -technically- a no no. There is another down-side to using that method... Searching your item by description would be a ZERO. |

| spector | 04-23-2009 12:17 AM | ahhh yeah that is true... so maybe a combination of image and some good keywords that will stay under the radar... |

Can you PM me with more details about this loophole? |
| Vicvelcro | 05-01-2009 03:14 PM | PM me, too. If you would.
