Default Suspended again on Amazon (bogus reason)...any point in fighting to get back

So the "Seller Performance Team" has suspended me again, for the same pathetic reason...listing items against detail pages for different items. Now, this time I've no idea which or what listing they mean....I truly think they're just pecking in the dark this time.

Any point to trying to get this account back? I already sent the weepy appeal email.

me too amazon is starting to get like ebay with the feedback -

If you get picky buyers - which you almost always will - they will close your account down

In retail you should expect 10% unhappy buyers - I used to work a macy's and that is what management was told - 10% unhappy was GOOD but online they believe 3% is NO MUCH and they close your account - they are nuts - Some people just are going to be happy campers no matter what you do and I believe their are MORE scammers online trying to get something for nothing

somebody is not gonna walk into Macy's and say they didn't receive they item but their have been numerous times online where I send the wrong tracking number by mistake or didn't send one at all and sure enough 9 out of 10 buyers will try to pull a fast one and file a claim as not received - not only is that held against me on amazon but then I am forced to have funds frozen until someone checks the tracking - Everything is one sided nowadays agaist the sellers - It isn't right

The standards for amazon and ebay are both out of wack

What does that mean?

If this is your second suspension on the same account I think that you're finished. You can write them, exchange emails with them and at some point they'll tell you that that it's a done deal and they won't respond to your emails any longer.

Amazon really sucks. As I mentioned before, I don't think they want any sellers except for the larger companies and that's a "If you can't beat them, join them" attitude where Amazon figures that they might as well get some commission rather than none.

The book category seems to be different. I think that Amazon set themselves as a book "Mecca" so they dominate the field and then try and switch everyone over to their Kindle. If they manage to do that, they'll probably kick off a lot of the book sellers, too.

People are complaining about the Kindle downloads. The original premise was "save a tree", convenience and save money by having digital book downloads. I've read where some of the downloads cost almost as much as the new hardcover book.

I think that Amazon has a lot of ulterior motives and a site full of sellers isn't their goal.

They should realize that sellers are buyers, too and they're going to end up pizzing everyone off like eBay did.

Hey Alanc, basically, it means, for example, listing upgrade office 2000 against the listing for full version office 2000. That sort of thing. The sucky thing is this time they are just assuming, I did nothing wrong. They've had me under a microscope for some time now.

Anyone out there willing to help me set up a stealth account?

The only successful account that I've managed to maintain for any length of time is one under someone else's name and I keep the volume low. I've played games with with stealth accounts and credit cards. It seems that once your volume starts to go up they really examine everything.

I guess that's the only choice. However, Amazon is shooting themselves in the foot. I won't care that much about customer service once I get a stealth account.

I have 100% possitive feedback on amazon for about 60 ratings and got suspended for good because my refund rate to people were over 2% ! WOW, worse then ebay in my opinion...

They let me back on after a blistering email...turns out it was actually their fault due to blaming me for a product listing with incorrect information. Some categories do have restrictions on refund rates....I'm pretty sure software is not one of them.
