Default **ABUSING.. Trick or Treat ??? ***

HI:
I have had 2 things happen, as chance,, then when they happened twice, I thought, uh huh.. a Pattern here??

Here's what happened.....

a.) I have had several new accts suspended for the abusing policy.. ( abusing what? I know its a joke )

ANyhow, managed to get them reinstated..

b.) On the first acct, I did list a brand name item, got taken down, but no suspension...weird? I thought the acct would be under high scrutiny?
c.) Reinstated another acct, from abusing .. listed Brand Names, this acct got to the 15 mark, I began selling Brands, good valid brands, but nevertheless, what they consider high risk..
d.) Still no take down
e,) I did have an acct that was never taken down, got suspended for the Brands, tried to reinstate it, no go...

So- whats the difference?

1.) The accts that are new, never had any marks against them, once u get the abusing for stupid stuff, seems, when verified, by faxing in the docs, those accts are SAFER than the accts that were NEVER taken down..

>> MY Experiment...

a.) I then PURPOSELY tried to get 2 throw away accts taken down.. I listed NON_ brands.. but i listed like 1 item every 3-5 minutes..Wa LA...down.
b.) I also did it to a 2nd acct.. this time, i raised the shipping to $49 for a 1 lb item, listed 5 things, nothing,,
Then, i went in and revised, submitted, revised again, submitted, nothing, then i went in revised, changed the entire listing from a soap dish to a pearl necklace--
Wa LA.. down... aBUSING!
>> ok< NOW I BEGIN TO RENINSTATE....

-- oN both ACCTS-- now these accts by the way are ONLY 3 weeks, and 6 weeks old...
--I have listed/sold this weekend via buy it now, 4 brand names... i have also raised the listings from the nomal, 20-40 for me, anyhow, up to 80 on one, and 77 on the other.. still up, no probs,
-------- MY CONCLUSION: WHen the accts are actually taken down for simple stuff.. then, Verified, then reactivated, they have a STRONGER "score" with ebay than accts never taken down...
Fact or Fiction???
Good Luck )

Be careful here, Modee doesn't like it when you post your experiences with eBay. Especially when you don't have enough facts to back it....oh wait...you do have facts, I did to. Oh well, guess my experiences are invalid because I have low post numbers. </sarcasm>

On a serious note, thanks for the help you give. I have learned much from your posts.

ebayhateluv is saying, I did this once or twice, and this is what happened. Just raw data. No theory, no hypothesis, no problem.

It's when someone posts skimpy data and claims that this means that if one does this, this WILL happen, that I take offense, and sometimes call it...misinformation.

Can you get an "abusing ebay" suspension for being linked to another suspended account, or would your suspension say "linked to suspended user", I am testing a few things and got the "abusing" email, thanks.

ive had a couple of accounts suspended for being linked with a suspended account and all the emails stated the reason was for being linked to the suspended account. (all accounts had different names addresses) but it was before i visited this forum so they would of had the same ip. silly me.

Just a Quick Followup-Folks:
The accts that were "brought back" are Truly STEALTH accts...

-I have managed to rack up over 200fb, sales have been over $14,000 for the last 5 weeks..
--Have sold at least 7 Vero items on the acct..

ACTUALLY--I Personally would rather work with these type accts--than risk, a 2,3,4 yr old acct..

BTW-this was a BRAND NEW acct- 3 weeks old--Suspended for Abusing.. Then, Reactivated..then began to slowly list/sell/relist /sell,,
--AFTER I got to 25 fb,, it seemed liked the "Gates Opened Wide",, )

I had an account that got hit with Abusing eBay, faxed in documents, got reinstated, then my first item after the reinstatement was a vero, got hit with 7 day suspension.

I faxed in requested docs, also included contact info of the Head of Piracy of the vero company so ebay could verify mine was legit, and after 10 days their response was indefinite suspension. Go figure.

Sorry that this happened to you. It is likely that although you provided all that you were
asked for, there was a flag on the account still..... like you are on probation. Then you list vero and it goes down. It does not matter at all to ebay that you got the OK from the rights owner. You are not conforming to their requirements so you are out. Of course, it makes little sense but this is part of how ebay work. They are inflexible.
I would suggest, please, with future accounts to let them really develop. Good Luck in the
future

oh no need to apologize, i had backup accounts...

i just wanted to relay my experience to let others know that reinstated accounts aren't necessarily indestructible.
