Dropshipping and the Hold...?

Hello all,

I just joined the forum after being a lurker for years, but I needed some clarification on some things.

I have been dropshipping items with Paypal for off-ebay sales without much of a problem for alittle over a year now. Recently, I have been thinking of using cartmanager integrated with Paypal for my ebay sales. To clarify, I do have a 2006 ebay account in good standing, but have not sold much since the 21-day hold went into full force. I perused the CM threads on the board and understand that with this setup, Paypal marks the ebay transactions as *goods.*

So my question is, does this make the 21-day hold *less* likely to occur if Paypal is treating it as an off-ebay transaction? Also, would you mark Paypal as an accepted form of payment or mark it as merchant account (visa, mastercard, etc. which would imply the buyer doesn’t know they are paying through Paypal in the cart)?

Just get the account to over 20 seller feedback with DSR's to avoid the 21 day hold. Cartmanager wouldnt make a huge difference, also buyers usually ignore it and pay straight through PayPal anyway so you have to chase buyers and ask them to cancel payment and pay through cartmanager.
