Activity: 0% Longevity: 76% | | Dangerous to Send Money between 2 different PPs ?
I am in a bind as I do not want to waste a BA to withdraw funds. I got 2 "real" PPs (both with established, real info, built over many years). One has a huge balance like over 10K so I want to send funds to the other PP (also real info, a real PP). Both have been linked already (one in my mother's name, one in my own name). If I send money back n forth between the accounts will this raise a flag and get suspension even though they're legitimate accts?

PayPal suspend legit accounts all the time for no good reason. Don't risk it, especially not for that much money. A bank account is not worth 10k, trust me.

Legit accounts and paypal in the same breath mean nothing.
paypal puts holds on anything if it wants.
Proceed very carefully. |

As elijah states bank accts are free - 10k takes a while to amass and really not wise leaving that much in there in the first place.

First thing is why would you allow any pp to get to 10k?
If it gets limited say good bye to the money for approx 6 months.
If this is your real info etc why would you worry about withdrawing to a bank?
If you can provide them all the info if this is for real you are not risking a thing sending it to your bank.
Far less risky to send it to a bank.
And to have both accounts linked is not a good move.

It isn't even worth it. All the work that goes into creating and maintaing accounts. No way would I ever risk transferring money between accounts.

Agree with that is a too large amount to leave in PP. Get a bank account pronto - its not hard hapa...you have sooooo many options.

I learned a long time ago you need to only leave fees and some refund money in pp and the rest needs to be taken out.
No way would I allow them to steal 10k from me again.
That is why I spread sales over 20 accounts a week and then switch to a new group.
Funds do not get built up to large sums on one account so I have far less risk.
Its my money and they wont touch it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I probably keep a bit more than I need to but I like to have about a $800 to 1k in my PayPals after fees to cover any returns, chargebacks etc. These are always on my established accounts that are more than a year old. Some of the newer stealth accounts I keep it a bit lower. But for how difficult it can be to build new accounts and keep them running for me if I have to keep extra money in to stay in good standing with PayPal whatever. I just want to sell without all the b.s.

I learned accounting along time ago so any money that's in paypal, small or large goes into 'accounts recievables' and the larger amount you have in paypal just simply means you have alot larger amount that's not in paypal, in accounting terms..

Not a bad way of looking at it. That is kinda of how I look at having the balance in my PayPals. It is kind of like a security deposit a person renting property would have. Once you close up shop you get it back. It is there to ensure Paypal you aren't going to just collect the money and try to run.

I built baby stealths into solid super stealths over time.
I never allow myself to let large sums of money pile up in one pp account.
I spread sales over hundreds of account a month.
I dont give pp a chance to steal my money.

Yes.
"Years" ago when they took down my original account they took 18k from me and with a year of calling etc they never sent the funds. I was told since I would not provide them with my ss card. photo ID and I cannot prove who I am that the money is not yours.
Things have changed a lot since then.
Found this site, learned a lot, started my original account back up with all the same info other then address etc of course and now have a nice solid original account I am still using today.
Never got my 18k ever. But I am more then made up for them stealing my money when both me and the DH were laid off, ran out of unemployment and used eb as a sole income at that time.
Funny thing is I created what is known as the first stealth account in 2003 with the same info and a different address but in 2003 I did not realize what I had done. Still going strong today!
They wont ever steal money from me and if I can help others stop them from stealing and hurting them financially I will.

$18,000.00 OMG! Could have bought a decent new car.
I'd go Ballistic.
Within the last two years I've had $62,000.00 frozen, $11,000.00 frozen, and $6,000.00
All three times PP eventually returned my funds.
With a stealth, now I don't have ID's. At least not yet.
Are members getting funds released after 180 without producing ID's?

I contacted an attorney and they wanted a huge retainer. At that time years ago we had no income b/c unemployment ran out and could not pay an attorney money for just a chance.
They put a hurt on us bigtime back then.
I learned from it, years later I am in the drivers seat from their ways and wont ever be in that position in my life again.
Thanks to them for doing this because it opened a whole new world and a lot more income from home. Made me open my eyes a lot and it has paid off for us.

Good for you Sandy.
I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
I always tell my kids, "god has a plan." <<< They never believe me, lol.
You're probably more prosperous today because of that situation. Looking back it was probably the best thing that could have happened to you, although I'm sure it was very painful at the time.
It's not how hard you fall, but how you get back up.
Congrats and thanks for sharing your story. | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Roscoe For This Useful Post: | |

Thank you.
Oh yes, the new world opened and we now have anything and everything we ever wanted or need.
That is why I tell people here to never give up and do not let eb and pp get the best of you.
I thank them for trying to screw me over all the time because now I am defeating them hour by hour, day by day and now get to help others do the same.
Great world we live in.

And what have you learned from all of this?
DO NOT KEEP MORE THEN $500 IN PAYPAL IF YOU CAN!!! That's all! I only keep whatever the fees are, and enough for 1 or 2 refunds. No more!
I never had this problem, and when reading this I was worried cause I'd have $2k or $3k not as much as you guys had but still. I clean it out and only leave enough for fees and like I said 1 or 2 refunds! Just to be on the safe side!

Dead on correct.
I have been telling people this for years on here.
Do not let them keep your money.
Look at it this way.
Ex-
3k held for 180 is lost or wasted money.
Most of us could take that 3k and make it 6k 3 times over in 180 days.
You cannot if they keep your money.
A few small dollars here and there wont hurt you but when you get into the thousands the game is different.

I learned from other peoples mistakes! I either keep the money on a prepaid card to buy more products to resell, I send the money to another account ASAP, I either withdraw it to my real account. And that's it really.
You guys are like 2nd family! LOVE reading the stories!
At times it happens and its the worse time of your life. But years down the road you'll all look down at it and be thankful it happened and laugh about it, cause now you are build that CASTLE business! And nothing can stop you! They will only slow you down now, not stop you totally! You all learned from bad things and build up the defense for it now!
I had bad things happen also too me at a younger age, and I am happy it happened at the time it took me years to forget about it, but now today I am happy it did!
