don't they already do that? whenever i go there they measure my box and the price goes up. stick with USPS, cheaper and way faster.
To my understanding, they only do it with express, not ground. With this change, they will now do it with "ground" also. Fedex does with it with all shipping methods.

Varies, usually for small items under 5lbs USPS is the way to go. Getting more bulky items that are in bigger boxes like mentioned above. USPS/FedEx has been much more cost effective. For me I rarely ship eBay order UPS/FedEx. However, I sell lots of overstock items to other sellers. Also have to pay Ground shipping from suppliers in the states. UPS/FedEx Ground is much cheaper for those larger packages. There are some factors that go into UPS/FedEx pricing that can kill it if you are in rural areas, etc.
