| | | | | quantum | 01-19-2024 05:07 PM | Account deactivated for no apparent reason. Any insight? I received the deactivation notice below. Clicking on the appeal button, it asks me for a utility bill or business license. I can get creative on the utility bill, but does anyone know what the cause of something like this? From my experience, these requests means the account's toast. Metrics are green, 100% feedback, and the account is almost 1 year old. Usually verification checks like this happen within the first couple of months of the account being opened, not this late. Unfortunately, this account did well over the holiday season and most of the funds from it are locked. Any insight helps. Thanks
Your Amazon.com seller account has been deactivated, and your listings have been removed. Ship any open orders to avoid further impact on your account. After 90 days of receiving this notification, you may request a fund disbursement by contacting disbursement-appeals@amazon.com.We will conduct a separate investigation to evaluate your account, and if we find that you have engaged in deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, abused our system, or repeatedly violated our policies that protect our customers and selling partners, we may withhold some or all of the funds in your account.
Why is this happening?
We were unable to verify information related to your seller account or did not receive any new information regarding your listings or selling history. |

But usually they won't even allow you to appeal. So perhaps they have changed that again? |

could it be some of your orders have been reported to AMZN as not too 'kosher'? |

| amzprostl | 01-26-2024 06:24 PM | Re: Account deactivated for no apparent reason. Any insight? I am in the same boat. Got the same deactivation and submitted the Utility bill and EIN letter for the business and got reply that they need more info and that I should do a video verification.
It's been a month, haven't done one yet, but I prolly will give it a shot. My account is a stealth account that I bought, but put all real info in there back when I bought it. So I might give video verification a shot eventually.
I'm pretty sure dropshipping was the root cause of mine. I have been burning through accounts dropshipping for the last few years and never haven't got the money disbursed after 30 days usually, but 90 on a few occasions. But this time is a little different asking for video verification, so we shall see.
Lemme know how it goes for you guys and I will do the same. |
Re: Account deactivated for no apparent reason. Any insight? These deactivations used to happen regularly if accounts were selling super popular or potential knock-off/fraudulent items - from what ppl have been saying these days, it's happening for non-risky items too these days on the rise...wonder if there is something in common as a trigger..? |

I was dropshipping so providing invoices will be difficult and it looks like they will ask for that.
anyone did one of these recently and can give me some advice as to how it goes?
I have my EIN Registration letter for my partnership LLC that has the same addess as I used for the business in the amazon account, plus bank statements, although bank statements are a different local address. Would I be better off getting creative with bank statements so they match? |

We were unable to verify information related to your seller account or did not receive any new information regarding your listings or selling history. | They are finding something shady on your store. It could be a personal detail like a bank card or address. If it was a Product it would tell you something about IP complaints not fraud. Unless your purposely not shipping out items, which I don't think you are. But it seems like they are fishing. In most fraud cases I've dealt with over the years, Amz usually doesn't offer a payout solution. In your case they are giving you that option. It sounds like BS on their end. |

Sometimes its buyer support that did the fraud flag and don't communicate with seller support for the reason. |

Who does the shipping of goods?
if it is another retailer, then it is not dropshipping,it is retail arbitrage.
Are you the one who is asking WMT t o do the shipping and is asking if arbitration works?
Major retailers like WMT,TGT,Costco,Wayfair has accounts with private carriers, their tracking will reveal they are the shipper, |
