Authenticator App For Multiple Amazon Accounts Two Step Verification

Hi Guys.

I'm going to change form Soho VOIP to an Authenticator App for my Amazon accounts, as Soho doesn't work to receive the codes.

Do you need a phone number for an authenticator app, and if so does the number need to be different. I have a lot of accounts so don't want to mess this up.

You can add as many two step devices to it

Thanks, I used the google one. I've used it for one account fine. Do you have to do anything differently when using it for multiple accounts?

I'd steer clear of google authenticator. You're forced to use a mobile device every time even if you need to authenticate a session on a desktop machine.

With GA, if you lose your phone, be prepared to be locked out until you get a new device - and when you do, you'd have to migrate all your accounts one at a time.
If you have 100+ accounts...


Authy, with its desktop/mobile option & multi-device access plus cloud back-up, is a better choice if you wish to transcend GA's limitations.

I use "authenticator" for a few years now, I have well over 30 accounts in it ranging from Amazon, to other things.

Simple, quick and reliable. So try this one out.

Use Authy. It's much better than Google and you can have a backup, unlike Google Authenticator where if your phone brake or been stolen can be an issue as there is no way to recover it.

You can export them to a file and then just reimport when needed - that is how I keep my backups.
