Just opened an Amazon account... need help

I've opened my first ever Amazon account, and everything is going fine. The only problem I'm having is the shipping rates. How do I set it so that the shipping on the items I'm listing is free (it keeps putting a standard rate on there of £4.00)?

Can;t mess with Amazon shipping rates. This is point that is burning me since they don't see that I am shipping from Canada so...blah ah well.

Sellers selling the same items as me, some how offer free shipping? How's that work, do they get upgraded or something?

Oh hmm I will look into that this evening - maybe they untick all the boxes and have seller account.

Could it be the that they have Pro-Merchant accounts?

You need to go pro to alter shipping otherwise its locked in

Ya, and shipping from here is brutal. I've had to add some into prices to help. I'm going to switch to pro soon so I can alter them a little.

You have to have a Pro Merchant Account to be able to set your own shipping rates.

Thanks guys. It's looks like that's what I'll end up doing. Do you have to pay VAT Tax on these accounts?
