can you tell by the listing? | When you go to a product, the Amazon Price is displayed. Below that, it tells you how many others are available New and Used, and the lowest new and used prices.
Buyers KNOW they are not buying directly from Amazon, but they have confidence in their purchase since it is covered under the Amazon A-Z Guarantee.
Amazon DID have auctions years ago, but they have long since abandoned the format - and they sucked anyway. Still, they were probably the closest eBay competitor at the time. I DID make some nice sales, but my eBay sales outnumbered them by 10-1.
