How to list item on Amazon if there is no UPC number

Hello all,
Is there a way to list an item on Amazon if I don't have, don't know the UPC number?

Maybe type the item name into a search.
If it there you might be able to sell it.

If it no where to be found.....
You used to be able to add items to the catalog if you had a Amazon Pro Merchant account.
You would have to list the new item under "Everything Else" if it had no SKU.
I am unsure if this still works or not.
I have not done it in a few years.

If the item has been sold in the past on other sites/stores it should have a UPC and/or ASIN

I had an item that showed zero results in amazon. I did a 1 minute google search for "product name asin", found the asin, typed it in amazon and believe it or not amazon had the product with a full listing and photos. It refused to show up in amazon search however when just using product name. No one else was selling this product at that time so this might be why nothing showed in amazon search.

Funny thing is once I listed it within a day or two I had 3 other competitors, go figure.

Short answer: if there isn't already a page for it, you can't sell it on Amazon without a UPC. The "Everything Else" category is meant only for things that don't fit one of their regular categories (like, say, outboard motors) and they don't like if you use it to get around the UPC problem.

You have to be a Pro Merchant to add pages - but you still need a UPC.
