Default Amazon - Tor

Anyone tried to open an overseas Amazon account with Tor before?

I have been using TOR successfully with Ebay, but I didn't use it to set up the accounts

It's a program that is intended to give you online anonymity and the network routes you through a number of servers, making it harder to identify you.

Been using it lately for Ebay

So is this something that works for Amazon here in the US as well?

It's a public VPN, so USE with caution. Amazon have blocked certain ip ranges from VPN's already.

I would only use it after everything else seems to fail...
Thanks for the warning just in case

I am in the process of setting up an Amazon account with Tor, I will let you know how it goes.

I will only use it for setting up the account after that I will log in from any old IP(apart from banned). I have found that even when logging in from overseas there is no IP issue with Amazon

I am working (setting up a new laptop as I write) on my first Stealth account while my "real" one is under review.
In the event that I don't pass the review I will use the Stealth right from my house, but on the laptop...will simply buy a new router/modem combo and reset the IP address.
But would really like to know of other ways such as Tor and appreciate the updates

Well just set up a ghost account with tor so fingers crossed.

I can only see tor as a benefit for someone in my position that is registering an account from overseas, otherwise a clean IP is pretty easy to come by.

My guess is they will spot it as a proxy right away. They have some pretty good detection setups in place. I would be shocked if it worked.

But keep us posted
