I sold under "beauty" and have been selling only for 3 months with 30+ feedbacks and 1 negative when I became a featured merchant. But then, I got suspended on the 4th month.
Like I said, really big sellers. The average Amazon seller is never going to get 500+ feedback or hundreds of sales a year.
I said 500 sales. I might have had 30 feedbacks or so when I became a FM. I'm not even sure the exact number of sales but it was exactly day 90 from when I had made my first sale. It could be a coincidence. I don't know for sure. I have a feeling it may be different for different categories
Yes it is different for each categories, some are a lot easier then others to make it, electronics is a pretty hard category to get fm, took me thousands of sales and around 700 feedback

:> sounds like my luck

My friend became a featured merchant in a month in the video game accessories category. He only had 80 feedback but he said he sells over 10k a month... His account is old as well.
I am trying to work on getting my featured status hopefully I get it soon at around 7k a month in sale I should be getting it in another month or so - hopefully
