Activity: 0% Longevity: 79% | | New accounts created, closed almost immediately. Why?
I've already wasted 3 accounts on Amazon. Only listed 1 kind of D&G perfume, and almost immediately, Amazon closed my account permanently. This is the message I got from them. "We took this action because it has come to our attention that you may have listed products which are in violation of our policies against intellectual property infringement. As stated in our policies, the sale of unauthorized replicas, pirated, counterfeit, and knock-off merchandise is not permitted on our site."
I'm just so confused because there are a number of new sellers selling the same stuff and they are still there with "0" feedbacks and same price as what I have listed. What am I doing wrong? I can't even get started selling on Amazon. I've been purchasing VCCs here and just went down the dreain in a matter of an hour. Now, I'm so scared to create a new one...

If the other new sellers are still up, and running, sooner or later they'll get shut down too. You shouldn't start off new accounts selling these type of items right away if you want to last for awhile. You should start off selling something around the house as in books, or anything else that is lying around the house, after your account ages a little, and you have more feedback then give it a try little by little, considering your perfume is legit, you don't have to tell me, but if it is you should just take it slow with new accounts, selling something thats high risk with little, or no feedback looks suspicious to them.

Hmm.. Try to email amazon support service, I know it will not reopen your account but would be interesting what they answer to you. Just ask them what the exact reason for your suspension is? Let them know that you have all the essential documents as a proof of authentic quality. Like i said they will not reopen your account but (!) they can give you some extra info which could help you to avoid suspension in future

Agree with Ninja.
You should concentrate on getting feedback on new accounts, sell loads of cheap stuff, show Amazon you are a decent seller. Consider having a inventory that does not purely consist of perfume for example, you wont stand out like a sore thumb that way

Yeah perfume is a very high risk category especially brands like D&G never recommended to start off with something like that.

Thank you so much for your input. I already took down all my perfume listings. I'm just wondering why other new sellers with "0" feedback who sell nothing but perfumes are still up there selling.

They are up there selling because they have not been shut down yet. Many will fail - few slip through. If you absolutely want your account to last, go slow.

The amazon axe may be about to fall on them at any time.
When you are just new & starting, it's hard to get going. Slow & steady works.
Good Luck

Good Luck | Thanks GreenBean! That's true, unlike with ebay, I find it really hard to get started with Amazon. I now have to think of a product that is not high risk and will sell, just to get feedbacks. The books that I have listed aren't even moving.

It's very easy.

What you are selling May not be the reason that your Amazon Accounts are being immediately shut down,,It is certainly one Reason,,
You may be getting instantly linked to suspended accounts for MANY other Reasons,,Using the Same IP Address or MAC Address will do it. using a Banned Proxy Server, Blacklisted VCC, and a Whole Lot of other things.
Go through Amazon Ghost thoroughly so that you can Positively Rule out all of what I Mentioned and Much More

I now have two accounts selling only books and they're still up for over a month now, so it's definitely the items that I've listed that got me suspended immediately.

Well then there is your answer,,,If you KNOW for sure that it is the item,,and NOTHING Else,, then what is the Purpose of this Thread?
We all know that on Amazon there are certain Keywords that Flag accounts all day long and that 99% of the time a Flagged account gets the Boot on Amazon,,,So What is the Big Mystery?
Because it is Happening too Fast?,,,Well that may be just your Luck or a New and Updated way to deal with accounts selling certain products.
Comparing Accounts selling different Products Means Nothing,,so why make the Comparison?
Comparing your account to other Sellers who are selling the Same product successfully is also Pointless,,You do NOT Know what that seller has in Place to allow him to sell the Product,,maybe his best friend works at Amazon,,Who Knows?,,,You just cannot assume that if he can get away with it you can too.

The books that I have listed aren't even moving. | You have to find a inexpensive popular product to sell that is in demand. Price it so you break even, or take just a little loss. You can write this off on your taxes later. You can even make a little money with a lot of volume sales. What I found for me that works really well when starting a new account is those "As Seen On TV" items. I found a legit supplier who gives me an unbeleivable bulk price and they move like brushfire. And for some reason, the people that buy these items give you feedback, a real mystery. So you have to do your homework, and put a little time in, and you will get off the ground.
What I do is build up about 40 feedbacks on an account. Then put it in cold storage until I need it.
Good Luck
