With Amazon you can be reviewed at any time. $750 is the usual velocity, but it can happen at $250 or $1500, it depens on your feedback and what you sell.
Amazon has better terchnology than eBay. They rely on a lot of cutting edge technology to stay secure. eBay relies more on the old school things, like data contained in public records databases and the credit bureaus.
With Amazon, you have to know about IP addresses, MAC addresses, browser fingerprinting, beacons, etc. With eBay, a solid knowledge of how to obtain public records is helpful.
But, assuming that your items and your account are legitimate, then you should be OK.
IF.... IF.... IF..... You provide good customer service, ship quickly and stay PROFESSIONAL at all times. Tell a buyer to go F**K himself, and it's all over. And some buyers can make that difficult to do. You just have to stay above it and be professional, even when you want to lash out and tell the buyer where to go. Thansfully, those buyers are in the minority.
ALWAYS answer your customers as quickly as possible.
ALWAYS be nice.
ALWAYS try to be helpful.
ALWAYS ship FAST. Same day or next day.
ALWAYS use tracking numbers. They REALLY like this!
NEVER use ANY SLANG TERMS. Not just swear-words, but any general slang terms as well. Use proper English (or Spanish, or whatever).
NEVER be argumentative. Yes, you CAN disagree without being argumentative!
NEVER be rude.
NEVER promise what you cannot deliver.
Just common sense, really, but if you follow the above, you should be OK.
