From my previous readings, folx have said yes EXCEPT that greend ot itself can get whacky on you for accepting money under different names...few posts around about this.

Greendot - I had like 7-8 of them, yes, they work even with mismatching names, but as soon as you start loading some serious money on them, they will notice and shut all of them down and you will never be able to open another card. They send you a check with the remaining balance.
The Wallmart Money Card is better, it also works with mismatching names, but after loading a lot of money, they will also shut them down and send you checks.
So far the AccountNow Card worked best for me, they don't care about names, amounts (they took a 5k+ deposit with no problems), but you can have only 2 cards. If you have a girlfriend, then 4 :D
Upside Card - works even with mismatching names. Don't know what is their tolerance on the size of your deposit.
Rushcard - it works with similar name to yours, don't know how much you can deposit without problems.
DO NOT USE mPower card. They WILL LET the deposit go through with mismatching names, but they will automatically block your card and they are asking for the sender's ID, proof of address and a notarized letter where he agrees that he sent the deposit to your account. Of course this other person doesn't exist, so you are fckd. I have 2k+ in their bank, now trying to send the money back to Amazon somehow, apparently it will take months. Quote:

The key with all of these cards seems to be the same as with stealth accounts on Amazon or eBay. Keep the money reasonable, and only a few cards per issuer.
Staying under the radar is ALWAYS a good thing.

Then, you have to go online or call them and enter your information. If it matches what is in the known consumer databases, they mail the card to the address you entered. If not, they may ask for more information, such as copies of a driver's license and utility bills.

What do you mean? We just spend 1 day talking about different cards.
This question is even more inferior to the one in your first post.
I have a feeling that you still have to educate yourself on a lot of topics, just start reading the forum and you will find answers to a lot of your questions. Quote:

While a few thousand dollars being deposited is great, are there any services out there besides a bank that wouldn't blink at biweekly deposits of 40-50k? I think I already know the answer to my question but thought maybe someone knew something I didn't.
Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm wondering why are you looking for something else than a bank? Do banks have problems with deposits like that? Quote:

A teller I know personally told me that a deposit is a cash transaction and that the bank must notify the IRS for any amount over $10,000. I think we'd all like to keep the government out of our business. I asked if it mattered at all if it were a business versus personal account and she said no. After googl'ing the question I can't find a very straight forward answer but she seems to be correct with the exception of transferring money between spouses.
Does anyone here know a better answer about american banks?

Any cash transaction over $10,000 MUST be reported. It is called a "Currency Transaction Report". In some cases, the IRS defines checks as cash. Here is the link to the IRS web page explaining this: FAQs Regarding Reporting Cash Payments of Over $10,000 (Form 8300) |

actually the reason i need an alternative is that i am a foreigners and i think we have a benefit of being a foreigners, but there the hard way is that we have a very long time to get a bank account opened. Or now a days if we want to open a offshores account from our local banks , we need to make a deposit of USD 150k worth of deposit to open an account !!! ~~ that's why we need that . :(

Anyway, the bottom line is that if you walk in or out of a bank with 10k CASH, the bank teller has to report this to the IRS. CASH is equal to cash money, cashiers check, money order, but not regular personal checks.
Also, if you buy a car with 10k or more, the dealer has to report the transaction to the IRS. Buying real estate with cash -> same thing. If you are asking questions or start bargaining with the seller not to report anything to the IRS, then even if you will not buy anything, theoretically they are required to report you for suspicious activity.
So if you want to buy something that is more than 10k, just deposit the money in your bank account (obviously not all at once) and then write a check. This is safe.
The reason behind all this is to keep drug-money, stolen money out of the banks, make money laundering harder and of course to give the IRS more insight to your earnings.
Coming back to the original topic, direct deposits are like checks without paper, so they are not reported to the IRS.

I got two questions on this topic to alnev....
What in your opinion is considered as "serious cash" leading the card providers to close the cards? Do you have any experience on amount and frequency?
Do you need to be a US citizen to purchase a accountnow card?
Thanks,
