Usb- Dail up adapter

if i am using a usb to dail up adapter will it be the same as if im using a dail up connection ?

i am using a usb to dail up adapter since my new laptop does not have a port

Hey Shadow, yes it would be the same if you have the phone line piece that plugs into the adapter. My laptop does not have a phone cord outlet but i bought a conexant usb 2.0 56k modem that allows me to plug my phone cord into it. I hope this helps.

yea thanks i got one and it works fine but on vmware it gives me alot of issues ;(

I use mine on Vmware only and have many accounts that I use it under with no problems.

maybe i have a cheap one cause it usually only works when i install the drivers everything im plug it in
