Default Amazon FBA & Suspension?

Has anyone been an Amazon FBA seller and got suspended? Does anyone think that Amazon is less apt to perform account reviews with full 100% FBA sellers since they have all the product in hand and are profiting twice from them? I had an account banned a few years ago, but now want to use Amazon to start a business with an aged account that hasn't had any problems and want to know if it is even worth the trouble. Thanks.

It does not matter of you are a FBA customer or not.
They will still suspend your account with the same ferocity as they would any account.

Interesting question, I am a FBA seller.

I have a single account with 4k skus.

In my area, Amazon just suspended their biggest seller,

which kind of shocked me because the guy had mass skus

and was was doing HUGE business. Although he had a few SKUs FBA,

most of his stuff fulfilled himself.

~

In the past 6 months I have got 5 different vero type "policy warnings"

and my account is still around, 100% FBA though.

I came back here to see what the level was before they suspend you, that's my big worry.

The question, would Amazon let a non FBA account get 5 Veros before Suspension ?

I think FBA may give you some room.

My experience on ebay was about 4 veros and you are gone.

Default The Answer to that question

I can say that yes, having items in FBA helps with copyright claims
but it does not insure against it.

Just had my Amazon account suspended over copyright claims and
it took 11 claims in one year to do it.

Well, I was selling legit stuff. I seperated from my partner and opened up my own store. We had >59% of overlap on goods because we divided the inventory in half. I emailed Amazon about the seperation of the business and intent to open a new store. Amazon said "not enough reason". I went ahead and opened it anyway.

I didn't take any precaution and selling like a pro since day one. I did 100% FBA and first month's sale was over 20K. I was doing great for 10 more months until I ran out of stock. Oh boy, I was running around with a big bull's eye on my chest. It was a good 10 months run and I do believe FBA gives you some advantage.

@EcoDuck, so you just ran out of stock - you were not banned from Az?

I am banned. It's probably because my former partner is doing something really creative. I heard he opened up 10+ Amazon accounts for his empolyee and pay them with goods rather than salary. I can't verify but I believe it is one of the reason Amazon caught up with me. I've been using different IP, computer,... because I moved everything back home. There was an old computer which I gave to my wife. She was on it for 5 minutes then I remember to delete the cookies. I think 5 minutes is enough for Amazon. Amazon let me ran for another two months after this. I was so happy and start sending in a big load of new inventories, then Amazon banned me on the payday. Now I have 2K+ units to ship back and I will have my finger crossed for Amazon don't delete my account before the 90 day retention.

FBA foo foos and you will get suspended. It only takes a couple customers calling Amazon, and Amazon will destroy your inventory. Others have posted about this.

So with FBA you're good to sell 20k starting from first month?
What about feedbacks, do you even worry about them, or just send the inventory to Amazon and go on vacation?

thats a yes, I received 1/2 warnings a month for a good year and I still get suspended. Most of the warnings were due to stupid customers though and I always make it a point to contact amazon and show them that my stuff is legit.

Amazon has gotten rid of sevral huge sellers in the past 1-2 months but thats mainly becuz they have really poor ratings and shipping time.
