Keeping funds

If i start making amazon accounts and they ban them will they keep the funds now? ive had accounts banned and they have always paid out but been reading on here about them deleting accounts and keeping funds?

if AZ finds even tiny evidence of you trying to work the system and will get deleted. If AZ things that you are just bad seller then you get a ban. Lately AZ mostly deletes accounts vs banning, my experience.

Always a chance of pure deletion - if the account gets linked or you are suspected of selling f*ke items...2 examples come to mind

Another let's not read the thread properly or look at the thread title 'KEEPING FUNDS'

Crucial issue ignored

if they ban they hold the funds for 90 ays

if they delete they will keep your funds forever

amazon is a scary place right now.....

Yes deleted accounts on the LARGE part have had poor success with getting back funds.

Wish I could see new success stories but I have not heard of much in a long long time.

no success, they keep asking me information so that they can call my bank

id rather let the money go then have amazon mess with my banks

I don' think they'll call the bank, but AZ is known for using this method to simply gather more information about you.

rsot 01-24-2013 10:24 AM

A method that is a waste of time since banks - in general - should not be giving out this kind of info without proper paperwork

Speeder33 01-30-2013 05:16 PM

so should i give them the info?

I think you answered your questions yourself ;)

I recently lost much money on deleted accounts. I'd say things are getting worse now, as for me 1-2 years ago Amazon used to be much easier to deal with. In reference to their bank info requests - technically they could use such info in legal actions against you in future if ever needed. Very unlikely though. I think that's just another try to grab as much personal data about you as possible. No bank will provide amazon with anything upon you until a relevant court order is issued. Otherwise that would be a massive breach of contract
