Running Through a VPS

Am I right in thinking that if I start an Amazon account using a VPS that has a static IP then I'll be fine to use a previously banned PC and internet connection?

Is this better than using VMware and a VNP?

Or a VPN and a new laptop?

Read around.. On a VPN, you will still need to clean the previously banned pc and spoof the MAC address AT A MINIMUM - there is probably going to be more to it, depending on your situation.

On a VPS, you don't have those issues, but Amazon is aware of a lot of VPS (and VPN for that matter) providers. If they detect you are on a VPS, it is an instant ban and probably the loss of any funds you have in your account at the time.

If you want to go with a VPS, forget about anything on the first few pages of Google and also the $5 and $10 wonders. You want a provider that is small and unknown to Amazon and at least at the $20 per month range. Why? Look at LowEndBox.com - they list VPS's that cost very little. Click on some links - those $5 ones are prone to going out of business. And Amazon knows about most of them.

VPS has the potential to be of most benefit.

Issue is what you pay to use such services.

Not an area where you can afford to be cheap.

I'm stating to think a new laptop with a 3G sim might be bar far the safest way to go...

The 3g sim allows for dynamic IP - make sure your computer is clean and proper - switch up the browsers too (phenomenon of browser fingerprinting hs noteD)

I'll be using a new laptop fresh out the box. Do Amazon mind Dynamic IPs? I can pay to get a fixed 3G IP if needs be?

If you a fixed IP, the problem is that if the account goes down, you wont have IPs to work with. Get dynamic - keep track of the IPs you use with ipburger.com

Dynamic is fine.

Should not be a problem.

Make the account.

Get selling.

Good Luck.

Dynamic IPs allow for creation of more accounts :yar:
