How long did you not give it to them? I'm waiting to get my tax ID for a specific account.. I suppose I should be trying to put that in there asap, huh? =/

i had an account get suspended for that once and when I entered in the Tax ID i was reinstated right away

Yeah that is what I was thinking might be the case. My account was temporarily suspended until I provided my EIN just a few days ago. I was thinking maybe the OP thought it was suspended when really it's just suspended pending the tax ID.

Most of the users who have had this type of suspension have had full restoration of their account.

It took supplying the required info.

Guess an examination of a business plan might have off-set the issue.

Who really knows - you input the info and wait - likely 3-7 days but wait for other people to post up their experiences

Why would you give an SSN?

I supplied an EIN and I got a response within 20 hours.

Bascially what happens is the following:

amazon ask for tax ID.

Seller supplies this ( in my case in the form of EIN).

amazon ask ( electronically) does the info supplied match your records YES/NO.
That's all they ask & that's ALL they are entitled to know.

If it matches, then the account is OK.
