Look at this!

This seller has 502 ratings at 61 percent positive feedback.

This stresses my point of how important it is to sell items just to create orders. Even if you are not making any money on them they are invaluable. Feedback percentage means nothing if you build up enough orders

First feedback was July 31, 2012. Seller has been on Amazon for almost a year!

Have noticed a few of these before.

Usually, like this one, look like they are from China, selling cheap Chinese items. That's why the shipping time is up to 28 days (which most people miss).

Wonder if AZ will catch up to them???

Total Chinese Seller, cheap quality merchandise :thumb:

GreenBean 06-12-2013 09:47 AM

Oh novel!!!

Sell tons of rubbish and still exist

rsot 06-12-2013 10:24 AM

The seller is evading the deletion by Amazon pretty amazingly - wow.

Sandy D 06-12-2013 10:47 AM

How in the world is this one still existing is beyond me.

Well, tbh it seems like anyone below 85% is always a Chinese seller. I do a lot of research of products as well as competition.. so I see this constantly. At this point I feel like Amazon may have taken a stance where they believe it's actually higher risk to delete the seller rather than let them continue selling.

These metrics would get a US seller suspended in a moment.. but every time you crush one seller account from China, another 2 most likely pops up in its place. I'm sure there's a lot less regulation when it comes to Amazon's identification process on overseas sellers. Amazon might look at it this way: at least the customer can see their bad rep and make an educated decision about it, rather than deleting the account, and letting their bad selling remain under the radar for new accounts that lack feedback.

Moral of the story: Amazon should regulate the .US market and not even allow foreign sellers to sell within this marketplace. To a certain extent, it is futile. Chinese sellers would first send a few workers to America to set up shop here, while importing their merchandise directly to those workers for US sales, before taking losses in profits. Still, killing accounts that are shipping from China would be a great start.

The global shift is too great to stop this from happening

There still are flaws within Amazon's system that make matters even worse. A Chinese seller can exist with less a than 70% feedback score, while I get suspended for selling a generic item on someone else's generic item listing, all because the seller has a godly lawyer.

If amazon really gave a crap about customer satisfaction, they wouldn't do business this way. Now, in order to make a sexy profit on Amazon, I have to get my own lawyer.. so that I can do unto the next guy exactly what the last guy did to me. Good job Amazon :thumb: I don't even think they care about money anymore, it's more like they're trying to prove a point :deadhorse:

GreenBean 06-13-2013 04:43 AM

They are proving a point.

Because they have the market place position to do just that.

Guess they do need to keep some garbage sellers in the system to help other sellers to shine
