It doesn't matter what the OS of the computer is. You can make your Vmware Image any OS you want as long as the computer meets the requirements for that OS.

Do you need to have all OS installed for VMware to work?

EG: windows 7 on computer, then pick windows XP for VMware. Will you need XP installed on computer, installed on partition, or not installed?

No, you will have to have the OS disk to install the Vmware image or you can download an OS image if you know where to find it.

Because you are selected "NAT" I think.

Try "Bridged" instead. Also it work only with Cable, Doesn't work with DSL or other connection

I am confused over these mixed options

For my real accounts. I always use everything new
New laptop to mobile dongle.

For a Ghost Account.
I would like to use my old laptop.
I have in the past been quite successful with the Ghost Account on VM PLAYER

What I would like to know is.

If i disable all the networks adapters with the SMAC programme.
These would also disable the MAC on my laptop.
I use a new user account with a new mobile dongle

This is good to go or do I have to use VM Player

The reason I am trying to avoid using VM Player is the laptop get to slow.

Any input in this would be a great help.

If you find VM player to slow down laptop may want to try getting a XP iso as that usually doesnt use much resources
