Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Been chatting to several people lately who have had accounts suspended for allegedly selling counterfeit. In the past these accounts would have been deleted. Has amazon been 'advised' that they are just unable to delete accounts and take the money. Comments please guy's and girls...

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

I've had less deleted but still had a few deleted by Amazon. I don't think they will ever stop doing that unfortunately.

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

i think it all depends on length of account history. NEW will probably be deleted older accounts would be left there for the 90 day then you would get your money

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

I'm sure they have their ass covered by a 120 page legal document.

Also think they have rules and regulations as deep and as in-depth as their tracking of all sellers.

In easy terms, good bye newbie. Long term with lots of money and FBA, suspension only.

But, of course there are always exceptions to the rules.

Of course, my opinion only. If I knew for sure, I'd be selling my ass off, and be selling the 'insider' info to get rich quick :heh::heh::heh:

Amazon seem to have different types of counterfeit.

If a seller complains you are breaching their intellectual property rites or such then you usually get a warning. If you are found to be selling dodgy nike trainers then they delete the account. No proof but that has always been my experience

Yes Barry understand that has always been the case, but seems to be changing. This forum used to be full of people saying they cannot log into an account, not seen this lately. Several people who write to me privately say they have had the e mail about selling counterfeit, but account has only been suspended.

I am sure Kelly will chime in if she has anything to say. What your accounts Roberto, deleted or suspended, you are always saying you have lost accounts.

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

If the account has passed a review then it's unlikely they will delete it. They normally delete new accounts where they don't like the amount if risk.

So counterfeits, people in high risk categories or people selling way too much in the first month. Account being deleted a are for people who make a mistake. Most people on these forums should not have to worry about getting your account deleted.

Whether they are doing it less remains to be seen but it should not really matter anyway.

MICKY H 11-30-2013 04:19 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Barry, why does it not matter, people including me have lost many thousands of pounds.

barrycruan 11-30-2013 04:24 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Well It matters if it is you and you have lost money. It should not matter because if you are sensible and follow the steps amazon will not delete your account.

I can't say that 100% but I have never had an account deleted and every story I have read where someone else has, they have always made mistakes that they could have prevented.

It also does not matter as amazon take this step to protect themselves. If they are no longer deleting as many accounts you can bet they will have something else in place. So follow the steps and you Will not need to worry about getting an account deleted. I do however sympathise with those such as yourself who have lost money.

MICKY H 11-30-2013 04:59 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Barry, yes I have lost a considerable amount of money, but that is another story.
The question I was asking from the outset, has anybody had an account deleted recently, a simple yes or no. This forum is about learning what amazon are doing and there methods of detecting ghost accounts etc and if they have changed methods or practices.

This was your question. I don't think you were asking for a simple yes or no?

I would suggest you don't ask for comments if you don't actually want any comments.

No I have never had an account deleted but does that mean amazon are no longer deleting accounts?

I know what this forum is here for. It is for professional sellers and I'm pretty sure the majority of experienced stealthers would think its a better idea to just follow the clear, tried and tested steps to avoid account deletion. Rather than spending time on the symptom work on the cause.

The most important thing is to err on the side of caution. Always assume that amazon will delete an account and follow the steps necessary to avoid this. The only reason I can think of for your questioning is that you sell phake or grey area goods? In which case I could understand

MICKY H 11-30-2013 08:49 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Barry, no our company does not sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods, we are actually a UK plc whose shares are quoted on the LSE and no I am not an errand boy in the office. If need to no more please pm me

barrycruan 11-30-2013 08:54 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

I was not being sarcastic. There are plenty of people who sell phakes and that was the only reason I would assume you are so interested in accounts being deleted.

I know you have lost a lot of money to a deleted account so I thought you'd have been more interested in figuring out what went wrong and avoiding it rather then just hoping that this problem(deleted accounts) has gone away.

Unless of course you sold phakes In which case no more deleted accounts would make a huge difference.

Have had suspended account with that reason, one of them 2 weeks old, and second 6 months. Funds were released after 90 days.

Maybe somewhere buried on the AZ site mentions an updated policy for deleting accounts? I dunno, AZ always seemed they got their **** together more than eBay and don't wanna waste resources fighting class action suits.

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Speaking from experience accounts are less likely to be deleted if you build high feedbacks and secondly if you use a proper card that can get charged at any time. I.e avoid vcc's

Only ever had 2 Amazon accounts suspended. Never had an account deleted. Always got my money back after 90 days.

this is what i have been saying. vcc is issue

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Yes it's the vcc which is the issue. I opened several accounts whereby I purchased vcc's from members on here. The accounts were either getting deleted or failing a review. Then when I opened a new bank account that had funds on it that account passed the review. During the time it was under review I got 8 feedbacks from around 30 items I sold. Items were also high risk. Shows clearly issue is vcc and feedback. Feedback is the icing on the cake. Happy days.

Are you saying to much GOOD feedback on little sales is bad?

Kelly441 12-08-2013 01:21 PM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

About my deleted account. The message from Amazon said something about a stolen credit card. Many here thought it as because was using a gift card. All other 6 accounts used the same gift card. Also, I opened a stealth account recently using all the same tactics and that account is just fine. There were two differences. I logged in form a different IP location, and second I did not list that I had 7000-8000 items for sale. I believe the reason my account was deleted is because I said I had too much inventory for sale right off the bat. People say you can't sell too much too soon. However, I believe you can't even say you have a lot to sale without your account being looked at.

That depends how far you want to push it. If it is a large sum of money you could seek an attorney. I have heard rumors that if you wait out the 90 days and email the right people that you can get your money back and your items if FBA. But you have to wait the 90 days

mufc365 12-09-2013 02:44 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

@kelly441 no sorry I meant lack of feedback is also a problem. You have got to get feedbacks from the sales you made, its a no brainer. Push your buyers as much as you can. And yes I highly suspect the account was deleted because of listing too much inventory. Think about how this looks for Amazon. How do they know they're not dealing with a fraudster that will sell and not ship. That's why so many times it's been stated to sell slowly and as feedback and account life cycle increases then increase inventory etc. Best to walk before you can run.

I have AZ accounts with VCC attached and have been running just fine for many months.

If you can get a new bank account to an address (like if you have recently moved address) then great but this isn't going to be a stealth account as it will be your real details. Great to have one of these if you can, just need stealths to back them up. I think certain VCC's do have issues but there are ones that work. Plenty on the forum about this.

Very tough to get money from a deleted account - attorney is a path but still quite the uphill battle

mufc365 12-09-2013 02:08 PM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

I will open a new account now with same tactic and post on how it goes.

I'me sure its the VCC which is the problem.

mufc365 12-09-2013 02:16 PM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

Another thing is to open multiple accounts if you know exactly what your doing I.e 100% stealth.

Leave some accounts make them and let them sit. This way if one gets blocked you have options. Don't put all your eggs in one basket is what I say.

liubkin 12-10-2013 09:10 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

I also think VCC is problem since i got 3-4 accounts deleted all with VCC. Accounts with real card never had problem or was suspended even for selling vero. About make account and leave it, it means nothing since one of my deleted accounts was 6 month inactive, since i started to sell 20 items in first month amazon deleted me, so if u do nothing they dont delete you as they just wait for you to make some money which they will eventually steal from you.

Which VCC are you using?

mufc365 12-10-2013 02:34 PM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

It's vcc's purchased from approved sellers on here.

@liubkin i'me not saying leaving accounts and not selling for some time will definitely ensure they pass the review. What i am merely stating is that the more stealth accounts you make the better. Eventually one of these accounts will pass the review. Open multiple accounts in one go and i can confidently state that eventually at least one account will pass the review.

However the review process depends on what you are selling and your account history. I.e feedbacks etc.

If your IP is Dynamic and changes all the time you are more than halfway their. Just make a new user account for each stealth account. You could name each user account the same as your seller name. Change all your personal details and you are good to go. Just ensure your ip changes for each stealth account you log into. I have applied this and am now running multiple accounts on one pc.

liubkin 12-11-2013 04:13 AM

Re: Anybody had an account deleted recently.

If only ip change works seems great but how do you set up your internet connection? My router always change the Ip on just restarting, but i use connection time like the stealth guide ( first ADSL modem, then router , then my pc ) and i change router mac each time i do new account so can look like new user and get fresh IP
