are you VAT registered? seems to be more of a VAT thing. there's lots of foreign sellers who come sell in Europe and not pay VAT. Fba makes it easier than ever before, and the sales are profit from stealing the government. EU is pushing on Amazon I assume.

The requirement is nothing to do with VAT.

It is down to EU money laundering regulations.

Amazon is certainly not a company that bothers too much with regards to tax matters. ;)

As said above, its all down to EU banking regulations. Maybe I am unlucky being on of the early accounts in this cull (high sales), but it will happen with all EU accounts over time. Accounts are now being verified.

Are you not able to supply a drivers license and utility bill instead of a passport..?

This is option is available when creating new accounts.

I cant see how Amazon expects everyone to have a passport. Therefore it makes sense that they offer multiple ways in which we can verify accounts.

This seems the case for UK currently with the passport only option...odd choice

..? Im slightly confused . When I create all my new pro stealth accounts I choose the option to use a UK drivers license, and tick the box which appears to confirm I don't have a UK passport. I also tick the box agreeing I can provide a utility bill on request.

None of new pro accounts have ever asked for the ID ( Touch Wood).

Can some please explain what all the fuss is about...?

I have sold and I have had disbursements . Im guessing if this do ask for ID it will be a drivers license and utility bill as this is what i have said I can provide.

Am I missing something..?

Re: All my established accounts now require id

nope guess you got to just keep selling and see what happens seems to be abit random, some people all accounts are requesting the ID/utility bill

then there others that seem fine!!

No solution, only use family PP's DL's but STEALTH/GHOST in the EU is history

So what happened to your accounts? Do you still have them?
What are you planning to do?

Are you registered as a business?

Is there anyone who is registered as individual seller/plan on European Amazon, and did they ask you for photo ID, bills, etc. or just micro payment & address verification/confirmation ?
