From Individual to Pro account

I want to open an individual account and later on upgrade it to a professional account.

When I upgrade I will have to submit an EIN.

Say I opened the individual account in name of Jon Jones and later upgrade to the pro...

Do I keep the pro account in name of Jon Jones and ADD a business name to it like Jon's Store.

....and then apply for an EIN for Jon's Store and add it to pro account?

Just trying to grasp the process.

Good question. I am not 100% sure myself if it will work.

Similar questions with PayPal what I always tell them. Is that if you have a Ghost or Stealth name on your PayPal and you add the EIN I believe it works per reports I have heard. The problem is that a 1099k is filed with the IRS and it has the ghost/stealth name on the document with your EIN that you personally registered with IRS. Than can be problematic.

So if you go this route I would personally advise using your name and getting a box in a city a bit aways or something like that. Also using a variation of your name if possible. William use Bill. John us Johnathan. Something along those lines with a different address etc to throw them off.
