I can only find the Mastercards in the $15 denomination but there's also a 3 Pack of VISA's but they are $25 denomination with $4.95 activation fee for the 3 pack.

I posted earlier in this thread that I had (2) Azon seller accounts.

The first account I setup 3 weeks ago using the vanilla visa gift card went ok.

About 2 weeks later after i sent in some inventory to FBA, Azon tried to charge the gift card for some shipping fees (yes the amount on the card was sufficient to cover the fees) and it failed.

anyways I've noticed on the back of the card, it says "select any 4 digit pin
at first use" it also has a bar code on the back.

My other account I set up earlier this week using a visa vanilla card, set up ok as well...

but I'm looking at the back of this card and it doesn't say anything about a PIN or have a bar code on the back of this card.

Do you think when azon tried to charge the card, that the "first use PIN activation feature" on that Vanilla gift card, would not let amazon charge it as a credit?

vanilla visa worked form e a few weeks ago havent rtreied it since bc i had 5 accts running till i ran into some issues

yes after i brought it i registered the card on the website they have for their giftcards and then used the exact same details.it says invalid credit card .tried to input the details more than a dozen times and it gives the same issue

the last successful account I made using vanilla was may 28th .after that the vanilla as well as this rbc giftcard have both not worked.when it says credit card is invalid on amazon,there is a tab for details.when i click that
it says prepaid cards cannot be used which is why i am confused as to why some people are able to use the silver vanilla card while mine doesnt work .

Can you share the BIN numbers on the account - the BIN is the first 6 digits of the card number.

We also know from another post that some cards ask you to choose a PIN and some don't. Did THESE cards ask you to choose a PIN?

We might be able to determine which Vanilla cards still work.

It sounds to me like Amazon is now blocking any prepaid cards by using the BIN numbers. If that is the case, then the answer will be to use cards with BIN numbers they are not aware of. These would be from smaller banks, credit unions, etc.

there are the vanillas with set amounts - $25, $50, $100.... and there are the vanillas with custom selectable amounts - $20-$400.

no there are three different vanillas-

set amount (25, 50, 100)
custom amount (20-400)
reloadable (prepaid bank)

4510160 is for one of the cards
5113402 is for the other card

one of the card is a prepaid card from rbc (its a bank)
one of the card is from vanilla .its a vanilla based master card

both cards are not reloadable .they are for set amounts

both vanilla and rbc based cards were working for me as of may 28th.after that when I made an account early june they didn't work

as for the pin,these are standard cards with the 3 digit pin at the back .theres no option to preselect pins its already at the back of the card so basically thee are standard vanill cards and standard rbc cards (rsot uses these)

If I can ask a foolish question, what are the expiration dates of the Vanilla's that you find currently not working? Most REAL credit/debit cards have expiration dates generally not more than 3-4 years out from issue. Most Vanillat gift cards are 8 years out.

This would be a seemingly easy way for AZ to detect prepaid cards at the first layer of detection?

well I created buyer account in the beginning and used it to buy from my another account to get positive feedback, and card worked fine for that, but when I tried to convert this account into seller account yesterday I got The credit card information registered to your seller account is invalid. You will have limited access to your seller account until you provide valid credit card information. Learn more about credit card requirements for your seller account.

I already used two vanilla visas on this account no luck one of them one vanilla 4941 59

Any ideas, I will try master card on the next account, what is it credit union and how do you get a gift card from them?

I tried the vanilla master card as well no luck there
some people have mentioned they successfully made accounts using AMEX
if someone who got the invalid card issue with the vanilla wants to give a shot we can try AMEX to see if it works

search for credit unions in your area if any of them offer prepaid cards

do you have to call to AMEX to set your zip code? as I remember they don't have online zip code settings

I use today a Amex Gift Card and it work good, it is Amex Limited Edition "Only the best for you DAD", you can put it 25-500. I put only 25 USD. Enjoy.

ok so if the amex limited edition works. Are there any others? Do you guys think this is the first of a big wave of prepaid bans? None of my accounts already created were affected but i tried a new one with the 25-500 visa gold wrapping and it didnt work. Trying the amex tomorrow to see.

Many members here make a very good living off of Amazon.

I myself make 3x on Amazon what I do on eBay....

Speak for yourself and quit saying "Amazon is a wasteland".

Over 1/3rd of items sold on Amazon are from third party sellers. Please educate yourself before posting nonsense here.

Just use your REAL credit card updated to STEALTH address.

Amazon does NOT verify your name. ONLY the address.

Change debit/credit card to stealth address, add it, problem solved.

it is hard to update the real credit card information with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. Bank or CC company do not allow this. Any update on CC information?

You DO NOT add a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name to your credit card.

Amazon DOES NOT verify your name. What do you not understand?

^^ ^^ regarding the zip code # and street # match .. what about the 4 digits that come AFTER the 5 digit zipcode? (example, Bobtown USA 55000-xxxx ) this "xxxx" will NOT match entirely to a street # changed address, example 55000-2600 vs 55000-3232

Most people have NO idea what these last 4 digits are anyways.

I do not believe that AVS is even capable of verifying the +4 part of a ZIP CODE. I have never heard of anyone having a problem because of zip+4 at any rate. I wouldn't worry about it.

So they only verify door number and postcode ?
Does this also apply to the UK?

Will the bank accept Amz making test withdrawls or micro payments to the card if the name they have on file does not match the card ?
